I think 2003 had the best role player combo.

I like the '07 bunch, I hope '13 can play lights out with tenacious defense in the finals!

Leaving Kerr off 2003 is just wrong.

Kevin Willis gave us some great playoff minutes as well. Man, that was a deep team.

I really like this year's cast too, at least 4-7. Joseph, Bonner, and Neal aren't ideal.

I dont consider manu as a role player even way back when.

This year's combo can be something special.

2007 tbh, although they weren't pushed that far.

03 was the deepest.

05 is my personal favorite mainly because Bowen, Horry, and Barry were my favorite Spurs' role players.

I went with 2003. Speedy Claxton and Sjax simply carried that team. Parker and Ginobli were still very young and so the role players contributions were extremely important that year.

My 2nd pick would be 2007. Nick Van Exel (left out of your list mysteriously!), Robert Horry, Brent Barry, and Michael Finley were simply awesome. That was the best Spurs team ever, but Parker, Duncan and Ginobli carried a ton of the weight that year, so you can't give the role players too much credit.

So Parker wasn't a role player in 2003, yet Kawhi is now. He leads the league in Wins produced(I know it's a flawed metric, but leading the league in it suggests he might be doing something OK), and is putting in a PER of 17.9, while TP tossed up an 11.9 PER.(And PER's relative bias towards high usage, low efficiency players helps), Kawhi's WS is far superior to what TP's was aswell.

Don't get how he's considered a role player.

At this point Leonard is in the big 3 and Manu in the role player list but it's hard for everyone to accept it

Bowen and Horry may be the best roleplayers all time not just for the Spurs but the whole league all time (you can make a case for guys like Rodman, but I'd have them #1+#2).

That said i think I like '05 the most. (in '07 they where not at that level anymore)
