Mavs game 2 2011 Finals come back - 2 years ago today

2 years ago today, the Mavs shocked the world, Superfriends, Stern, and even Dirk by coming back from 15 with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Mavs ended the game on a 22-5 run and Wade didn't get the ref love that he was expecting on that last second 3 pointer. An amazing moment for the Mavs and their fans. I was extremely shocked by the comeback but it was awesome.

I loved it and the championship for numerous reasons. I loved how no one could give Mavs fans any shit about being ringless and losers. I loved how Dirk became a winner and no one could use the "nowinski" or "noringski" shit anymore. That championship shut the haters up or at least made them get some new material.

The Mavs pissed me off a lot during the prime years of their rivalry with the Spurs but I ain't gon lie and say that wasn't an impressive as fuck game even for them. Was also cool to see Dirk break through by slapping his nuts on the table and taking the damn trophy instead of lobbying two other all-stars to join his team. Agreed. 2011 Heat had the weakest bench and depth but our D seemed to be more consistent and Wade in the finals was at the top of his game... too bad Bron didn't show up to the party.

In 2012 Bron and Wade were the most consistent they've been together, despite the speed bump that was Indy. D was the best out of the 3 yrs and bench was much improved. Spo also somehow seemed to outcoach every opposing coach in the playoffs, unlike this year.

In 2013 the team on paper is much better, but the play has been inconsistent both on offense and defense. LBJ is better but the rest of the team because of injuries or just not getting it done, is not as potent.
