It seems that people that were part of the game (ex players, Dr Phil) are choosing Spurs over heat. Man I can't wait!:flag:

Coaches, opponents, & players who pick the winner are a bit more credible and believable than the TV commentators & fans of the opposing teams.

They played against them.

He must've been in Boston at the time. Dude that asked him that question had quite the atrocious accent. :lol

Kori already posted 21 reasons why the Spurs will win it this year. No rocket science involved. Look it up in the other thread.

Point taken, but I was asking about the Zen Master's reasons.

Phil knows basketball and I am not surprised to see he favors the Spurs' silky smooth chemistry over the chaotic-but-sometimes-unstoppable Heat style.

I'm digging the mutual respect that seems to be forming between the Lakers and Spurs franchises and their fanbases. Maybe it's just some here, but most Laker fans here seem to be supporting the Spurs, plus my best friend is a Laker fan and is going for the Spurs too.

Perhaps both realize that the only teams out West that truly mattered in all of the 2000s were the Lakers and Spurs.

:lol Phil is just hoping LeBron loses and bolts to the Lakers in 2014, so him and Jeanie can run Jimmy out of the organization tbh.

I'm of the mindset that Riley still coaches from afar. Tells Spo what adjustments to make game by game along with other ideas. He's the puppet master and he's not as great of a coach as PJ and Pop.

I wonder if he'll eventually dub the Heat's 2012 title an asterisk because of the shortened season? Or maybe he tried to but ESPN or Stern has destroyed the footage and audio of it so no one will hear it.
