My Guess is...20.5 pts 12.5 rbs 2.4 blocks

I feel the Heat have no answer for Duncan

I generally agree but think the rebound is a little high. More like 10.5.

If he's properly used: 23.6 pts (maybe more), 11 rbs, 2.5 blocks

If being the operative word.

Kidd K
06-05-2013, 05:47 AM
21.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.2 blocks, 3.1 assists.

He will go crazy one game and get like 7-8 blocks which will pump up his stats. There's a chance he'll end up averaging a shitload of rebounds too.

After all, don't forget Pop isn't going to be a pussy and rest guys anymore. Timmy's minutes should see an increase, which will make his stats follow suit and go up too.

Around 17 and 10 if Pop has him shooting too many J's..

22 and 12 if Pop puts him in this series where he belongs and that's inside..

If the Heat couldn't guard Hibbert with one basic move--a jump hook--then Duncan will abuse them with a week plus rest.

No.. Tony needs to put up 23-25 on 50% IMO, Tim has to be very good but not dominant if the role players make their shots...

I don't think thats possible against Miamis perimeter defence. They are very good at defending the pick and roll ball handler with their aggressive defence, we need to exploit our biggest matchup advantage and thats Duncan

If we want to win, I think Duncan has to have a Finals MVP series.

If the Heat come out and double that pick and roll like they tend to do shooters are going to be open and Spurs have the weapons to knock them down. Ball movement is the key to the series, when the Pacers moved the ball they had success but their lack of Basketball IQ killed them..

Hitting the roll man will be the key, and that's why I think Duncan is the key to the series. The Heat will force the ball out of Parkers hands with aggressive doubles on the pick and roll and that's where Duncan needs to step up and knock down shots/get it to open shooters.

If Duncan can punish the Heat every time they double the pick and roll and the Heat have to play more conservatively, Parker will destroy them due to their lack of rim protection. It all comes down to the roll man to make it all happen, Parker won't be able to turn the corner and score against the Heats defence.

If Bosh guards him for a majority of the series: 19pts 10 rbs 3 ast 48% FG

If Haslem guards him for a majority of the series: 17 pts 10 rbs 3 ast 45% FG

A lot of you guys are overrating Timmy's low post game. He was in beast mode on the block until around the all star break, but ever since that bone bruise injury he's been out of rhythm on the block. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Pop continuously going to Timmy on the block in this series. He'll have to do most of his damage on those 15 ft face up isos or the open jumpers off of the pick and pop.

My personal feeling is that the most critical player in the NBA Finals is Tim Duncan, not Lebron James.

cutewizard
06-05-2013, 11:06 PM
And by the way, Lebron's positional versatility is overrated.

LEBRON JAMES CANNOT GUARD A TRUE SUPER CENTER!

Proof? There are two humans, one is dead. Their names: Wilt and Shaq.

Period! lol

td average 15.5 9.3 and 3 against memphis, 19.5, 10.3 and 1.3 against the warriors

td was a go to play early in the season for the spurs, he hasnt quite shown that since his injury but he's gonna have to replicate that for them to have a chance along with many other things that have to go right

I don't think TD will average more than 21ppg..... I mean, He's just not much of a scorer these days.
(OKAY Well that's bullcrap considering he's averaging 17 a night)
What I meant was, he's not much of a inside force compared to what he was 6-8 years ago.
A part of me wishes Duncan could splash all of his jumpers and let Tiago frustrate the D inside, But I know both Timmy and Tiago need to play out of their minds for that to work.
I really hope I'm wrong, I hope TD shits on my argument and brings back the same inside dominance he had during the title runs. But I just don't think he has the strength/stamina at this point.
My prediction is..... 18.1ppg, 10.4rpg, 3.3apg, 2.5bpg.
