View Full Version : Amateur: WTF? I've watched hours of post-game and not one mention of Kobe Bryant?

Yeah, yeah, I realize there's an NBA Finals going on between the King with 1/2 ring and Jim Duncan, but who outside of Miami and Fat Antonio gives a shit about watching these Junior Varsity franchises fight over what should've been Kobe Bryant's 6th championship?

The fact his injury prevented him from what would've been a certain 6th ring and the label of the Greatest Player of All Time should THE story in every post-game show. They can do their cursory analysis for a couple of minutes, cut away to soundbites from a few post game interviews, and then after that, the rest of the show should be devoted to Kobe Bryant. How Jim and "Kang" are chasing his legacy. Updates on the progress of his rehab. And most importantly, acknowledgement that this would be his title to lose if he were healthy.

It's inexcusable that these talking heads that Kobe has owned (Webber) and carried (Shaq) throughout his career haven't uttered a peep about him.

Kobe IS the NBA and his name being willingly omitted is a disservice to real NBA fans the world over.

Kirby is done. His stat padding days are over. No scoring titles, no finals, no finals mvps, no mvps, and no achilles.

His Nike PR stuff will update his twitter account with some "ground breaking" announcement. They will also give ESPN and the TNT a call just to remind who pays the bills . . .

However, its kinda classless to celebrate his injury.

tbh, I was expecting all game for Kobe to roll in with his wheelchair in the middle of the game and block Lebron out of nowhere...

Duncan is already way ahead of chucker and Lebron will be after he rolled up the spurs in this series..

I want a Spur victory so bad. And Timmy getting a 4th Finals MVP would be a dream come true. Every non-Laker basketball fan knows that Bryant has 3 rings solely because of Shaquille, and another two because of Gasol. He has only two Finals MVPs, at least one of which should have been Gasol's (Hint...6-24). These are simply the facts.

Agreed bro.

I was watching some game where Kobe was completely shitting all over Dirk and Dallas. I remember he dropped atleast 90 that game, I saw it on Sportscenter. But yeah the Lakers are fucking awesome. No other team has won six titles in a row like we have.

why Kobe should be mentioned during the post-game of which he didn't have a hand in? it's kinda like me expecting a cameo appearance of Scarlett Johansson in a Stallone film, you should of known it's never going to happen tbh.
