The way they passed it around to open shooters to counter the heats scrambling defense reminded me of dem mavs tbh. Even tho they shot poorly from 3 in the second half, you can tell Dat ball movement is still the best way to beat them. We also all saw what barea did in the PnR vs them. Parker is going to make that defense his bitch this series IMO.

Sticking by Spurs in 5. I like what I see so far. Also pretty cool that the buffalo wild wings in Dallas was going crazy in game 1. We got u niggas

Sports bars all across Denton (town just 45min north of Big D) were loud n cheering for the spurs. I had to make sure it wasnt 2011 again. Obviously there is a lot of hate for the manufactured Heat.

No one in North Texas should root for the Heat. Common sense.

Should read "North America" honestly..

The Spurs need to win game 2 so bad. Just please do it and put Superfriends in their graves. Please.

I was curious if the resident Mav fans on this board would root for the Spurs. Figured they'd hate this series.

A lot of them secretly like the Spurs they just seem to hate their fans..Spurs are a pretty likable team if you're a die hard NBA Fan..they don't appeal to casual fans because they font have a lot of highlight reel Dunkers but die hards appreciate them

I can only logically root for the Spurs if they are playing the Heat or the Lakers. My top 3 most despised NBA teams are the Heat, Lakers, and Spurs. The Heat should be the most despised team for every Mavs fan. I mainly want the Spurs to win because I truly despise the Heat and want the Superfriends era to end. A Spurs championship this year would end it. It would be great for the NBA to see a team that doesn't have douchebags or emo pussy hipsters win the Larry O'Brien trophy.

What do you hate about the Spurs?..like any players or coaches you dislike..Manu could be real annoying what with the flopping, I get that

The Spurs are probably the biggest rivals of the Mavs. Common sense.

Tbh I don't hate the Mavs tho..that 2011 run is easily the most fun I've had watching a non-Spurs team since the Jordan era..enjoyed the Jordan era cuz we didn't get Spurs games down here in central florida but had WGN so I could watch them 90s Bulls every night

No I hate the Mavs (for rivalry's sake), but I like Dirk and I especially hated Jason "turtlehead" Terry. I too enjoyed watching the '11 Mavs dismantle the Heat. Like really enjoyed it. I was jumping up and down whenever Dirk hit a clutch shot. But I still hate the Mavs. I only shed my bias for that series.

I also hate the Lakers but I would've rooted for Kirby and company if they faced Miami.

hopefully tommarow parker continues to run circles around the heat to make its wing defenders fatigue chasing him with nothing left in the tank in the 4th quarter

I rooted for the Heatles over the Mavs in 2011 tbh. I did back them in the semis vs the Lakers though.

I understand Bosh being an annoying fag and Wade being a princess but the King is great imo. Dude plays basketball the right way and is such a physical specimen, cant really hate him tbh.

I wouldn't call it weird... Most Mavs fans absolutely despite the Heat because of 2006. You might add the pure faggotry of Wade (e.g. how many dirty plays this asshole made in the last seasons), the "decision" to go hunting for rings the more easy way etc. That makes it rather easy to root for the Spurs. Despite all the rivalry I don't have a problem to give credit when credit is due. If the Spurs win I will give them props. Though I've never been a Spurs fan and never will be and if Indiana would have played the Spurs I would very likely root against SA. But yeah, f*ck the cHeat. Pls end the era of "superfriends".
