How can a team that has spent over £100 million not challenge for a top position? I've read some blogs and fan posts and many blame the team formation. For example, Townsend, who is playing on the right wing, should be playing on the left. Anyway, nine goals is an embarrassment.

Two games I will be paying close attention.

One is Tot vs ManU. It looks like a toss up but considering Tot's nonexistent offense, ManU could very well win by 3 goals. The second game that looks interesting is Chelsea vs Southampton. Let's see what Mou's club can do against the team that has received the least amount of goals.

symple19
11-25-2013, 02:07 PM
I'll also say this in defense of Soldado. It's only his first year. If he improves in the second half of the season going into the next campaign it may still prove to be a good move, although I stick to my assertion that $30 mil was too much to pay

That whole side may need a year before they have any idea how to play together, which is why I pose the question "Will AVB get fired for a mid-table or worse finish?"

I know that there is a lot of panic in the Sp*rs fanbase right now, but if management is smart they'll look long term. Plenty of talent, but the big 'if' is whether or not they can be an actual team as opposed to a collection of individuals.

btw, I thought Defoe was being used more as a sub this year?

Adebayor can be an absolute beast but you never know which player will show up. His attitude is garbage which is probably why AVB barely plays him

Overall, it was a rather weak game from Özil, lots of lost balls and suspect passes. But obviously, it's hard to complain when he has two assists. He's always good for one or two great moments, even when he is a bit off.
That was a typical win for a contender, I would say. Okay first half, pretty bad second half, but still they end up winning 3-0.

My other takeaway from today is the impressive play by Everton. Looks like Martinez's system has taken hold and they are really in-form. Lukaku is the piece that's been missing. They are a really good side, front to back.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if they end up ahead of lollerpool on the table at the end of the season

I agree I agree

But Lukaku is young and needed to start often to improve and mature, and that was not going to happen this season because :

1. Mou has to play Ba and Torres, otherwise the Russian Mafioso owner will be pissed since he spent a lot of $$$$
2. Even without 1, Mou rotates his squad a lot

True, Szczesny has been very solid this season. All in all, there are quite a number of Arsenal players who are in good form: Mertesacker for example, Sagna too, Ramsey obviously, Giroud, even Wilshere has been better as of late.

As impressive as City is at home, that was one of the worst defensive performances I've seen int he past couple of years by the Gunners. Fundamental defensively lapses led to problem 3 goals. They went mentally prepared to compete in this game, which worries me because they had the same issue even at Napoli. SO they must've been fatigued real early.

It's the weirdest thing ever, I know Cm 10.2 was incompatible with his fw before. But when I went to install kitkat, it req'd HBOOT 2.15 (which my friend had). So it was a simple flashing rom + kernel, done. Of course, the nightly or gapps from yesterday was messed up so i spent another 2 hours figuring out I should flash an older version of both. :lol
