Who else notices that the refs only call 20% of the fouls the Heat commit on us when we go to the basket and the refs call cheapie brush contact and minimal contact against us whenever the Heat go to the basket?
Fuckin bullshit.

Pick and roll with Lebron has given them problems and they aren't playing well enough defensively or offensively to withstand the whistle going against them. heat are playing well but there's still a quarter left for the Spurs to get it together

In both games 1 and 2, the Spurs have been tied or down or up by 1 or 2 and have failed to capitalize after a defensive stop more that I have ever seen from them.
They've fucked up time and time again when being close with Miami.
Mistakes and piss poor execution.

At this stage in his career, Ginobili doesn't care about the Spurs. Just a couple months ago, he plays all out for Agentina and then comes back to the NBA and play garbage basketball all year while collecting a 14 million check. If he actually cared about the team he would have taken the summer off and recuperated his body instead wasting his time with the shitty Argy NT.

I'm not really surprised by a Spurs loss - I'm just embarrassed by how badly they played at the end of the 3rd Quarter and the whole 4th Quarter. We all knew Miami was desperate because they knew they'd never come back if they went down 0-2. The refs gave them just enough favorable calls to totally switch the momentum - and it was all downhill from there. Regroup and move on to game 3.

disappointing game 2 but the spurs stole game 1, i'll take it
hopefully spurs take care of business at home, winning 3 in a row would be almost impossible, this game changed when heat milked pnrs with james as a screener
series hinge on if the spurs have an answer for that
You shouldn't forfeit a game in the POs, it's so weak, would the GS comeback happen if Pop gave up?????????

I wish Gary Neal would be benched for the rest of the series. Unfortunately, his competition isn't any better. Cory Joseph? Nando? T-Mac? Patty Mills?
I think TMac needs to be explored. Our problem on offense was ball movement and Neal jacking 3's doesn't help that. And with how bad Neal is defensively TMac can't be worse. CJ could have definitely have had an impact. There's no reason for Chalmers to be scoring alot of points.

It's smart. Step on the Spurs throat and demoralize them like Thunder did in game 3 last year.
That's exactly why I don't like Pop giving up on the game. The Mavs were in a similar position in game 2 against the Heat in '11 and stuck together and made a comeback. That comeback changed the whole series. It's understandable we already stole one game but getting this would have been huge.

gotta give credit to the spo/heat
they were determined to keep parker as a jumpshooter, if parker torches them its gonna be on the jumpshot, they have the personnel to force that
how do the spurs defend the chalmers/lebron pick and rolls?

next game, as soon as ginobli has 2 straight turnovers, he should be benched for the remainder of the game. why did pop take out green for ginobli when green was on fire in the 1st? why????

Everyone on suicide mode on spurstalk
tbh, I'm impressed the Spurs kept it as competitive as long as they did. It was close halfway into the 3rd. Not bad in a do or die game for the Heat -- and make no mistake this was just that for them. Miami ratcheted up the D, and got really hot at the same time the Spurs got really cold.

I'm no CoM member, but I give Manu a pass since he's not a total liability, unlike Neal. When he's got the ball, it's usually a poor shot or a TO. Plus that terrible D.

In '05, we lost Games 3 and 4 in Detroit by a combined 48 points. Still won the ring. Onward to an all-important Game 3.

ginobili's turnovers stat doesn't do justice the damage he did to this game, the times he wasn't turning it over he was making horrible passes, ruining the pace, bricking shots, and just in general looking completely lost. neal was -28 which is honestly the lowest lenovo stat i've ever seen a 2nd string player post. tony parker didn't seem willing to adapt as he usually does and i honestly don't even remember duncan being on the court he was that forgettable tonight.

I think it has more to do with the way we lost, and Miami "turning it on" and showing what they can do when they really want to. It's only one game, but it's more demoralizing than anything.
