The 1 of 12 to lose has to be the Heat from 2 years ago.

The shitty 1 day of rest between game 2 and 3 kinda doesn't help the Spurs much though. No time to enjoy being home before they have to play. Suck that the Heat got to stay home for a week straight and play just two games while the Spurs have to play the 2nd day they're back home. :\

Oh well... Heat lost home court and the Spurs are in their own confines again!

The home team is 3-9....??? Does that give us a 33% chance of winning??

Shocking how poor those odds are tbh. Spurs better bring it.

Spurs are favored in game 3 by 2 1/2 points.
I would bet that a lot of those 9 loses were teams that lost game one on road, then won game 2.

Yeah I'm definitely glad for that. Just wish we had the extra rest day since they got 3 days between games 1 and 2. Just seems like such weird scheduling.

The winner of Game 3 will win the series. That will likely be the Spurs.

We've been in similar situations before. Remember 2005, against Detroit? HEY! We went THERE and took a game from them.We have 3 home games left. They have 2 left. Why all the pissing moaning?

My argument is always "whoever gets to 2 wins first will win a 7 game series." whowins.com shows that is 87% correct overall, and 90% correct when the second win makes the series 2-1.
It's just too much to ask the loser of game 3 to beat the other team 3 out of 4 times.
Tomorrow night is the series.

Jeff McDonald - "In 2-3-2 series tied 1-1, the winner of Game 3 has won 11 of 12 series."
The Spurs have to win Game 3. Game 3 is the most important game of the seires. If the Spurs lose Game 3, then they lose home court advantage and the series is pretty much over no matter how many games it goes to. So yeah, the Spurs better fight for their lives and play with urgency and a lot of energy on defense, just like the Heat did on Game 2.

Well, since the game wasn't close, Miami got their starters good rest, and they found their second wind, you're right. If Spurs could've at least kept it close I would've disagreed. Miami was getting tired way before the Spurs last night, Spurs weren't even tired at all, Pop said so.
How is it 25%? Am I missing some math? Wouldn't 3/9 be 33%?

Spurs will no doubt be ready.
Looking at that whowins website, the winner of game 1 of the Finals wins the series 71% of the time.
Honestly, of the two games, im glad the spurs won game 1 instead of game 2. At the very least, if every team wins every other game in that order then we win the championship and the heat will have never have had to lose 2 in a row.

Yea but this Miami team isn't the '05 Pistons.. they're more dangerous and have Lebron. They're a whole other animal tbh.

The Miami starters got no rest... they were still playing up 25. LeBron and Bosh at least.

Do it for the fans, Spurs. And I hope Spurs fans show up loud and make pressure on the Heat and refs!

It would suck since I also flew to Miami for the game 2 loss. But we are having lots of fun playing and drinking on the beach.
