Why didn't the refs make the call based on the reaction like they do when James does some shit?

RuffnReadyOzStyle
06-11-2013, 09:04 PM
Dammit, we've had 3 or 4 plays tonight that looked like certain scores and nothing... should be up 15.
Heat will make a big run in the 3rd, we'd better be ready for it.
Anyone know the over/under on total score today? If it was around 180, I hope you took the under! :lol

WTF Timmy hit and no call! Figures Lebroom gets away with hacking & no call! Fucking refs!

Not to mention missing wide open 3s. I cannot fathom why Pop is ignoring Diaw. I think he's perfect for this series!
Actually he did try diaw intially, but what i saw was that he kept passing up shots and against miami you have to take the first good shot u get otherwise they will recover..

The only thing more flagrant than the officiating this game is the announcing. Holy fuck could JVG be a bigger Heat homer, how the fuck does that even make sense. Spurs beat him in the finals but at least he never got shamed into hanging into Robinson's leg during a brawl.

Biggest challenge for Pop will be to find rest for Tim and Tony. Their backups have been underwhelming.

Tiago is getting hacked in the paint, no call. Duncan getting slapped, no call. They're allowing Miami to be the aggressor and we're playing through it. Especially with those loose ball possession calls... (ie green out of bounds on the rebound). Unreal.

It really amazes me on how we can be up by 15-plus easy at halftime, but we tend to get so laxed on defense and keep turning the ball over.......
Yet we get bailed out on back to back threes...just to keep a cushion. We simply NEED runs like that.

Danny Green with 3 boards, 2 blocks, and a steal. And he damn nearly made that desperation 3 pointer near the end of the first quarter. That's the only thing he's missed in two games.

If Spurs were in mid-season form, especially with regard to ball movement, we'd be looking at a sweep...EASY.
Problem is, they're playing some of the worst ball of the season. Credit Miami's D up to a point, the rest is on the Spurs.
Great, you say, Spurs are sucking yet they're still up.

Cannot be mad at Neal tonight. We will need others to step up later, but this could be Gary Neals impact game in the series. And with our role players we just need one by each to win the series.
Neal has made more 3-pointers than he's given up to Mike Miller, so he's a net positive.

As much as I dislike Bonner we actually need him out there because it stretches out the Heat's defense. One thing I noticed is when he was out there that Spo immediately took out the Birdman. That it in itself is a plus. I will live with Bonner if it keeps Birdman off the court.

I hope the Spurs go to Duncan early in the 2nd half, tbh..he needs to be the #1 option against the Heat, they even began doubling him at the end of the half, which can only help the Spurs..hopefully he continues to take good shots..
Parker needs to wake up, they aren't going to win without him stepping up..
Relying on Neal is a horrible strategy, tbh..he made a great contribution in the 1st half, can't expect more out of him in the 2nd..the longer he plays, the more opportunities Miami gets to exploit him on defense and on the boards..

Spurs are gonna have to play much better in the 2nd half to counteract the refs. Now that we know David Stern is in the house, it's pretty obvious he doesn't want the Heat to lose this game. Since Spurs took game 1, and if they win this one, the odds and statistics say the Spurs are favored to win it all.

Watch the Heat defense in the 3rd quarter. They'll be bringing the belly-bump, arm-slapping shit hard. If the refs aren't calling any of it, they'll get turnovers and easy points, and the game will go to hell. If they make a few calls, the Heat will tone it down, and we'll go up 2-1.

All I'm hearing from the media is "Spurs fans should be worried that they're only up by 6 with LeBron having only 4 points). Well, first, Spurs are playing great defense on him. Second, Parker has 6 points. Third, Heat are shooting 57% from three. Heat fans should be worried that they're losing despite shooting that well from three.

Eh, it depends on what position Neal plays. If Neal just comes in when Allen or Miller is there, he'll be fine on defense. He contested the shots just fine; the other players just hit them. And Neal's actually a pretty good rebounder for his height; he should be fine on the boards if he's locked in, which seems to be the case right now.
Relying on his offense to carry the Spurs is a poor strategy; relying on his spacing to mess up the Heat's defense is a pretty sound one. If Miami starts giving Neal the Green treatment, it'll be hard for them to stop penetration or to double bigs.

That's when the teams are tied 1-1. The winner of game 3 is 11-1. But the home team is 3-9 in those games. That's mostly because the home team in Game 3 is the team with the worse regular season record.

This isn't on Pop. Diaw has shown he can't stay in front of anybody, and he's still passive on offense. He can space the floor just fine, but he keeps looking to pass. When he decides to give the ball up, it's been a horrible decision, which is just not like him. He should probably get Bonner's minutes, but I can understand Pop trying to see if Matt has any post-season magic left.

The Heat's run included this btw:
LeBron hits Duncan in the face with every ref looking right at them, no call.
Awul travel call against Parker who's just dribbling along the 3pt line uncontested and passing.
Cheap foul against Green to give Bosh free throws that even the announcers who almost never question the refs when the Heat get a call, say it was a bs call.
At least three bogus calls spurred that run.
