In these finals, Danny Green is averaging the same amount of points as Duncan...... while shooting a percentage 2x higher. :depressed

Duncan has claimed many times that he wants this one, that this is very important to him. Well he needs to step up and take it. I'm looking for him to have a great Game 3.

I wish Duncan gave me a reason to shut up, tbh.

If anyone needs to step up, it's Splitter and Diaw. They have been playing too damn soft. Splitter needs to block the shit out of Queen James sometime soon.

How can you expect Duncan to play lights out when his fellow bigs are playing softer than HEB tortillas

How can you expect Duncan to go 3 - 13 on the Finals stage? He might be 37 years old but he's going up against Chris Bosh and Birdman :lol

Kind of answered your own question there. Bosh has Birdman. A lot of the time, Duncan has nobody. I hope we draft some badass American big this offseason.

But Bosh and Birdman are average to above-average at best, they're not elite. Roy Hibbert put up Shaq numbers against them..

Roy Hibbert is Roy Hibbert. And he had David West. Sorry if I sound stubborn, I'm just really frustrated with the lack of production from Splitter and Diaw. Either of them having a solid game might make a bigger difference than you think.

Duncan was taking post jumpers all game long... Did he ever make a jumper last night? I feel like all of his made shots were inside the paint. Either way, he missed a lot of makeable ones. That's why I'm not seriously panicking. I just can't believe the stats

The defense the Heat played on Duncan was pretty good IMO. That's where what I've been saying earlier comes in. If Splitter and/or Diaw would take advantage on the spotlight NOT being on them, we Duncan might be able to get some help from the Heat D being forced to worry about both bigs on the floor.
That's what happened sometimes last night. We'd defend Bosh or Haslem well, but then Birdman would eat us alive.

They could do a lot better but I expected more out of Duncan, especially with the kind of year he's had, let's not forget how he did against Memphis against Z-Bo and DPOY Gasol and vs Dwight Howard and Pau, I guess he just had an off night.

Diaw isnt even playing
and PArker/Ginobili are ignoring the bigs rolling to the basket
Splitters D has still been good
hes handled switches well and he contests shots at the rim
problem is he plays with a SF/SG as his 4 and they dont boxout and Birdman just tips the miss
Popobitch is making the same mistakes as the GS series
trying to match smallball and hes doing it by playing the Spurs worst player huge minutes

Yeah I do understand where you're coming from though. Usually Timmy has that finals "switch" that he turns on and plays beast mode. Hopefully he turns it on in game 3 because God knows we need him to come up huge.

"I'm getting the shots I want, I just can't knock them down"- Tim Duncan. I know Anderson/Bosh look "active" when playing defense, But they simply can guard Duncan. The only player in this series who can stop TD is himself, and I believe that's what's going on. BTW It goes both ways, When Duncan is clicking he draws more defensive pressure; When that happens Splitter/Diaw get easier shots. The Big 3 will lead SA, It's up to them.

This x 10000
Timmy killed himself in game 2 with poor decisions in the post, hesitation, and a lack of aggression. He started figuring it out toward the end of the 3rd with that baseline dunk and the up and under move on birdman, but by that time it was too late. If we get game 1 Timmy back for game 3, then I like our chances. If not, then Tony will have to somehow play perfectly against a team that is completely dialed in on stopping him.
