I think it's a great refresh and I actually want a new phone now. Not too crazy about some of the icons though, but the rest looks fantastic. I have a feeling iTunes Radio will do quite well.

As long as it can still make calls, text, check email, is reliable, and get internet, I'm happy. Don't give a fuck what it looks like or extra crap it does. Probably also why the whole Apple vs Android stuff is retarded to me.

The constant referring to other companies' "inferior" products in all these demos from everyone are stupid and pointless. Show me your shit running in real time, show me it works and I can decide my fucking self.

Widgets are the most overrated pieces of shit on a phone, and the iOS 7 is indeed a refreshing direction for Apple.

Still, Samsung Galaxy Note.

lol at the apple users downplaying thier phone.

Just rejoice Apple users...you are getting closer and closer to looking like an Android OS.

no offense homie, if you think widgets are overated, you aint using it right.

There's about 7 widgets right here on my homescreen:

Control Center, Multitask....only difference is that it swipes from the bottom. hahah...trying to hide the rip off. LOL

None taken nigga. I just like a clean, minimalist feel on my phone. I have everything I need to see in one screen and I don't have to flip through widgets.

The multitasking is very similar to WebOS, is that what you mean?

iOS 7 takes more from WP8 and webOS than android tbh, and that graphic is poorly researched to say the least. To imply that somehow Android doesn't do exactly the same thing with their "new ideas" is just silly.

TheMACHINE

yah...to access ios7 control center is to swipe up and androids is to swipe down. Definately not the same. hahahaha

That pale look seems like a direct ripoff of Windows 8, tbh... hate the fact I'm going to have to spend 2-3 months reworking all our apps to look right on that shit...

and webos had it before that. the mail swipe is taken directly from Mailbox too, almost totally identical.

:lol

but real talk, iOS7 is like a ultra hybrid of many operating systems. it grabs from webOS, some parts of HTC iirc, some features of WINDOWS, hints on android are also apparent, etc, etc

personally, i think its not bad but i always thought apple preferred to stay simple and minimalistic aka dumb down for a broader appeal. iOS7 seems to be driving further away from that vision.

lol @ future tech-ignorant people having problems on such a "complex" iOS7.

all the simple apple users are gonna learn it and love it and go against everything they stood for the past 6 years. lol

They are all becoming like that, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - if you can do it better, the better for your customers. Now if they would just stop the lawsuits...

lawsuits...that's where this shit became hypocritical. lol

My first impression in the looks department is that it's a step back, tbh... not sure when this holy war against skeuomorphism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeuomorph) started, but it's retarded.

I like the shades, glossy finishes, etc... it shows whoever did stuff took it's time on the details. Not a fan of the flat look with over-the-top color highlights. I have the same criticism with Win 8's looks.

:tu

what, you mean whether or not you can root your phone and fully customize the processor to tether and kernel and whatever the fuck all that shit is in order to fully optimize your download speeds and shave .031 seconds off the time to download an xhamster mpeg isn't something more important than life or death?

After spending some time with it fixing up one of our apps, it grew a bit on me in some areas. Anything using the default text/table styles has a very clean look.

Overall, I still think it's a severe step back visually. Still can't get over the icons for apps like Safari. I think Apple is going to have to address that before release.
