AWESOME!! Much better than the damn "white-out" we had last year for The WCF. Barely anybody even wore those shirts. ... Hopefully, they'll wear these, though. :lol

It'll match with all the bandwagoning idiots that make up the city of San Antonio. How many Heat "fans" are there going to be in the crowd tonight?

Are the Heat wearing black or red uniforms tonight?

I vaguely remember them doing a blackout and it looks too dull on tv. I may be remembering incorrectly. :lol The simple Spurs logo will stand out though. Cool.

We don't neeed no damn seven nation army song to pump us up

GrandeDavid
06-11-2013, 12:00 PM
Our fans can really push the Spurs over the edge. So vital the crowd is on their feet roaring away at least 80% of the game. If it were a regular season Brazilian league game, fans would be on their feet 100% of the time. If we want our fifth title, Spurs fans can have a say. Screw statistics, let's win three straight and not go back to Miami!

I want to beat the Heat almost exclusively because I'm sick of hearing their crowd sing that shit. So fucking annoying.

The goods. :lol

The tshirt gimmick is lame. No way I'm putting that over my Duncan '08 All-Star jersey if they do it for game 5.

Splits
06-11-2013, 12:11 PM
Lame, tbh. Never have been a fan of this trend. At least the shirts don't say "community" or some gay ass shit

06-11-2013, 12:25 PM
Idk how it looks in person, but on TV the blackout thing just makes it look like the arena is empty.

That said, anyone lucky enough to go to these games better put the damn thing on (or at least wear black), b/c its stupid to spend all that money just to not support your team every chance you get. No one at the game is gonna remember "that guy with the throwback jersey," or your armani exchange tshirt anyways.

Speaking of the blackout and the pre game introductions...seems like everything this year production wise has been rushed/condensed, compared to previous years. Hopefully the Spurs have something planned at the AT&T to get the crowd going during the intros.

clambake
06-11-2013, 01:42 PM
those shirts better be pre-soaked in crisco.

jag
06-11-2013, 01:45 PM
Amateur move. This is the type of stuff the Golden State Warriors and their fanbase use to get themselves pumped up.

The Spurs should be above this Mickey Mouse sh*t.

I absolutely despise the "get ready for this" song. Its so cheesy and was played way past its prime. I used to cringe everytime I heard it. Buuuuuut I'm not gonna lie, if they broke that shit out tonight, I think the crowd would go bonkers, kinda paying respect to this long run knowing this might be it.

that said, they should go with something daunting.

Is the Western Conference championship banner going to be raised tonight?

~Sweetmelody~
06-11-2013, 02:06 PM
Oh, come on! Everyone should participate. It’s like you are the extra player the one that is supporting the players from the stands. I would wear it and I would dance and sing to “You’ all ready for this!” LOLOL

I can understand how some people think it's a tacky gimmick employed by the likes of Golden State and OKC. That's fine and all, but nothing pisses me off more than people who show up to home games in fucking orange or green or whatever other getup because Spurs games are social events where women can show off jewelry and Nordstrom blouses and men can wear their fishing shirts and polos. If you don't want to wear the shirts provided and contribute to the blackout, fine, but don't show up in something that makes you stick out like a zit.

It's Game 3 of perhaps the last Finals series San Antonio will see for a while, perhaps the last of the Duncan era, the series is tied 1-1 against the defending champions and the winner of this game has gone on to win the series an overwhelming majority of the time. Wear the damn free shirt and scream your fucking head off, if for no other reason than for those of us like myself who live 1,400 miles away and can't go in your place to do my part to make myself heard.

Great points. Jerseys, t-shirt jerseys, white, silver, black, whatever. Just don't wear a non-Spur colored polo or gaudy, starched Ed Hardy shirt (oh, I forgot, this ain't Dallas).

These may be the last home games of the Finals in San Antonio for decades to come. (The Bulls still haven't been back to the Finals since the 1990s, for instance.)

The fans had BETTER make lots of noise.

My fondest memory was in the '06 Dallas series where everyone was rocking a Michael Finley jersey after his entanglement with Terry.

Though I can't remember if it was just the courtside seat fans or a larger contingent of folks.

I'm too cool to wear that shit. I'll be at game 4 in the lower bowl and will be using the shirt as a patty mills cheer towel. And I wont be wearing a jersey either...but if I did, it'd be a Robinson jersey. God bless

I just don't think the black works. Your eye is automatically drawn to the non-black colors in the stands. I prefer the white-out.
