So far, Miami's bench is +16 in scoring this series. This was an area many predicted the Spurs would have the advantage. So far:
Ray Allen - 13.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg
Chris Anderson - 8.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg
Mike Miller - 7.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg
Norris Cole - 3.5 ppg, 2.0 rpg
Obviously a lot of this has to do with all the open looks they're getting from Lebron but we have to contain these guys, and our guys have to play better at home. Hopefully Miami won't shoot as well on the road. (Although I think Allen and Miller will continue to cause they're seasoned vets who've done it before). And Allen comes off a million screens so it's hard to guard him. Gotta hope he starts missing some. But, guys like Birdman and Cole I hope they really limit. If they start missing, I think it'll make Lebron try it do it on his own which is exactly what we want.
If their bench outplays ours the next 3 games, I don't see how we can beat them. Thoughts?

It's imperative the Spurs bench rise to the occasion, if not then our chances of a ship diminish

what bench?
unfortunately Spurs have no bench. Manu, Neal, Bonner and even Diaw are playing like shit. CoJo is too young.
We have no bench as of today :(
let's hope the home crowd at least makes our bench slightly competitive. Or it's going to be another assraping

Remember the days when we could brag about our bench? Now we're getting destroyed by a bunch of ring chasers at a bought dynasty.

The Spurs just need the bench to score some points and play well.

Problem is, two of those guys shouldn't be in the fucking rotation.

We need Tiago to catch more than 1 rebound.

Thoughts? I think this is the discussion I've been expecting from some of the paid analysts, and haven't seen. In the past, the Spurs' bench has been one of their big advantages. Right now, the Spurs bench has gone completely to shit. Normally, when people say things like "The Spurs don't have a bench", they're being stupid. But this time it's not much of an exaggeration.
The lynchpin is Manu. Him being on the floor always made the other guys better. He's not doing that in these playoffs. If anything, it's gotten worse. Bonner needs someone to get him a wide open shot. Neal is defenseless, and he' not making nearly the volume of shots. CoJo's inexperience is finally a bigger factor against the Heat. Diaw has his moments, but mostly when he's on the floor with a more-experienced group. Blair... I can't even talk about Blair.
The Spurs have 3-5 games left in this season. If they're going to win a fifth Championship, they're going to have to do it with the shortest rotation ever. Because it's looking less and less likely that Manu has anything left in the tank. And the other bench players need him to make them competitive.

^Exactly. The Spurs bench HAS to play better for us to have a shot. I hope being back home wakes them up. Esp Manu.
