Tony just needs to pop Ibuprofen like if they were skittles and he should be fine.

So much worrying. So little point to it.

Sucks, tbh. Let's hope Parker can fight through it but a hamstring strain is more mechanical than about dealing with pain..........

Frankly, I say we just amputate his leg and give him a new mechanical prosthetic. You know, the same process they used to construct Kawhi from scratch.

Shit. If Parker is hobbled, I don't think we can end their 'back to back games' streak. They're going to show up next game. It's a game 7 for miami essentially. We all know how they respond in these situations. It would've been tough enough as it is, but if Tony's effected I'd say our chances are slim tbh, barring a surprise game by someone. Looking at you Manu..

I got a better idea lets hand the heat the chip today..

:lol how is that an overreaction? TP said it himself that it's a hammy strain and those type of injuries are always bothersome/tricky.

He'll play Game 4 but him being limited is a huge blow to the Spurs tbh.

It's a SLIgHt. Meaning its just barely had something done.

Doubt he's even going to affected by it... But go ahead run around scream and flail your arms for no reason.

It's a slight strain. Not even a full on strain.

I know right. Is there another fanbase that's collapses as hard over a loss or injury news more than Spurs fans?

I suffered a "slight strain" of my finger while lifting a soup spoon at lunch. But against all odds, I fully intend to use it this evening, when I eat dinner.

You should be the one running around more tbh.

Go Spurs Go.

If anyone is watching NBA TV right now, it looks like they are filming live with Bones and Rick Fox and showing the Spurs practicing on the court right now. Parker is in warm ups going through drills. He'll be fine tomorrow.

Not bad. Could have been worse. Wear the compression pants and focus on assists, man.

heard jason garrett of airrosti today and he seemed to think that as long as no tear or blood was showing that was good news because it could be treated immediately. but, he did say a one day turnaround was a narrow window and that the spurs, with their past history, could err on the side of caution and hold parker out until sunday. garrett seemed to think that there would still be a slight risk that it could pop if it was not fully healed. it will really come down to how parker feels, what the doc says and what pop decides.

if we have him, will the heat assume him to be at less than 100 % and play him man-to-man? or, do they assume he is the same and play the trap on him again. if the former, they may be daring the spurs role players to duplicate what they did last night. if they man up, that means they will not want to give any good looks to the shooters. if he is able to play at close to the level he is used to then parker may be able to exploit the man coverage. and, of course, this is where manu's ineffective play is an issue because he would have been able to do some of the things parker does. but being that manu has forgotten to dribble that is not too realistic an option.

My favorite part of Parker's interview was when he said "We'll see."

So much will a strained hamstring hurt Parker?

I assume his mobility will be limited.

If it's not structural, and they say it isn't, he's gonna get a needle before the game. With that, he won't have much, if any, pain or even discomfort during the game. If there isn't a big loss of strength, and from the sound of this, there shouldn't be, his performance doesn't have to be affected much at all. There is still a mental component, when you know something is wrong in there, and it can be tough to commit weight to that leg. That's the reason guys usually take a few games to get back to 100% on the court, even when they are physically 100% when they come back.

There's obviously a risk of hurting it worse, but there are only a max of 4 games left, no matter what. In the regular season, the Spurs would sit him for a few games. But in this situation, I'd be surprised if he wasn't on the court. And if he's on the court, I'd be more surprised if he doesn't get a needle before the game.

He's going to play, no doubt. As he always says in interviews, "everyone has injuries in the playoffs."
