Tony is fine. He always does this shit, magically has the flu or a previous injury starts bothering him when hes not playing well. Funny how his calf bothered him in the GS series in the games he struggled and he was perfectly fine vs the Grizz until now. Not worried tbh and hopefully Tony gets back to where we need him to be.

Regression to the mean on 3pt shooting would be a worry, but when guys are this hot they usually stay that way for a few games, so I won't worry about that.

Incredible stuff. Even though Gary and Danny were superb, it was KAWHI who won us this game with his amazing D, rebounding, and all-around 3rd Q dominance.

Well the spurs played shitty in game 2.

They stepped up big time in game 3, and I hope it will continue. It was amazing watching Leonard out there. At some point of the game I said - Kawhi is shutting down James. What a performance!

Don't forget Green's defense. He's been pretty damned good. The two of them together have put the hurt on LeBron. I'm sure he'll bounce back, but if he comes out trying to prove a point, at the expense of keeping his teammates involved, it won't go well for them either.

[Edit:] How about Kawhi's rebounding? He's been a beast in this series.

The Spurs had this game under control, even before the avalanche. But without Tony, the dream is over.

"I felt something in my hamstring". Those words send chills down my spine, because I've heard guys say that so many times when it was a tear. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to have a hard time sleeping.

Tony had 8 assists tonight, in limited minutes. The lack of assists was a big concern from last game. Hell, Game 1 too. Those other guys get a lot of their point production because of Tony.

Anything that has to do with the hamstring is very serious. I don't care if he came back and played a couple minutes in the 4th. Hamstrings are very sensitive and once you hurt them the only way to heal it is rest. Anyone who's had a hamstring injury and tried to play on it will tell you that it's no joke. You can't just suck it up. It severely hinders your ability to run, jump, etc. Let's pray it's not serious.

Parker could have had his leg amputated and would have gone back in. It's the Finals; there's no way a competitor like him won't at least try to play through injury.

I'm sure Parker will play. Will he be healthy enough to be near the top of his game? That's what I'm worried about.

Green and Neal aren't going to hit 492 three-pointers in Game 4, tbh.

Small tears don't always work like that. But they get worse (more painful) over the next day or two. I'm a little surprised Pop put him back in the game, but it is the Finals after all. The problem is, he might even play with a small tear, just because it is the finals. (Don't scream - I don't know if the Spurs would, but it could be done.) But he wouldn't be near 100%. And the Heat have so much foot speed, he needs to be.

Obscure stat watch:

In the Spurs' 25 NBA Finals games to date, only 6 players have ever had a 24+ point game. Duncan has done it 10 times; Parker and Ginobili have each done it 4 times; David Robinson did it in Game 3 of the 1999 Finals; and tonight, in Game 3 of the 2013 Finals, Gary Neal and Danny Green joined the club.

(and, yeah, I realize it's a weird cutoff, but Neal's game made me wonder how many Spurs had even gotten to 24 in any single game).

Also, until Game 3 of the 2013 Finals, the Spurs had reached the 100 point mark in exactly 1 Finals game ever (Game 2 of the 2007 Finals -- 103-92). Easily the largest Finals point total for the Spurs.

As great as Tony is even at his best he isn't gonna win the series for us. He isn't being allowed to penetrate the paint and his absence forced us to shoot from the outside this game and our role players stepped up big time. Provided you still consider Danny Green a second tier player... Even if he's healthy he's not gonna see many opportunities to get to the rim uncontested. We're gonna have to shoot lights out to win this series.

Tony Parker’s status for Game 4 of NBA Finals uncertain after hamstring injury

Tony Parker was forced to head to the locker room in the third quarter of Game 3 of the NBA Finals with a hamstring injury. Parker was able to return to the bench and re-enter the game in the fourth, but logged only one minute before returning to the bench as the Spurs pulled away from the Heat 113-77 to grab a 2-1 series lead. The Spurs guard, whose improbable jumper sealed Game 1 for the Spurs, finished with six points and eight assists on 2-of-5 shooting in 27 minutes.

His status for Game 4 is unknown. “I felt something on my hamstring,” Parker told reporters after the game. “Hopefully it’s nothing big and it’s just a cramping.” Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears reports that Parker will have an MRI on the hamstring at 10 am CT Wednesday.

Parker dealt with a bruised calf earlier in the postseason, receiving a precautionary MRI on it in advance of the Western Conference finals. The troublesome calf did not force him to miss any time.

The 2007 NBA Finals MVP, Parker was averaging 22.3 points, 7 assists and 1.2 steals in the postseason entering Game 3.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals is Thursday in San Antonio.

Buck Harvey dropping knowledge.

Spurs medical staff believes it was a cramp. More than fine for Thursday.

Calmate...

I'm going with that and going to sleep. It's on you if it turns out not to be right. :p:

As great as Tony is even at his best he isn't gonna win the series for us. He isn't being allowed to penetrate the paint and his absence forced us to shoot from the outside this game and our role players stepped up big time. Provided you still consider Danny Green a second tier player... Even if he's healthy he's not gonna see many opportunities to get to the rim uncontested. We're gonna have to shoot damn near lights out to win this series if Tony can't pay at least 85%. Unless Manu comes alive because he's the only other Spur that can drive to the rim off the dribble.

I would rely on a damn slug before I rely on Manu DRIVING TO THE HOLE TBH! He is a jump shooter now pretty much, and he is not even good at that! I hope Parker is alright! PERIOD! If not we are in some trouble.

We will see the MRI results but there are reasons to be optimistic.

Parker said that that he didn't hurt himself on a specific play and that is a good news because when you tear your hammy, you immediately feel it. He said that it could be just a cramp and that Spurs/Pop were just careful with Spurs up by a lot.

And, Fuck Yes, what a great great win.

I've adopted this "enjoy while it lasts" attitude almost since the beginning of the Playoffs.

As long he's okay enough to be a viable decoy, we have a shot.

But will Emmanuel Ginobili please show the F up.
