I'm not sure if it the Warriors in game two against Denver or if it was that Orlando record or not.

Yes, in a NBA Finals game...that's the record the Spurs broke tonight.

The article never said whose record they broke and that other team, whoever they are, had 14 3-Point FG's in a NBA Finals Game.

They broke the Spurs' franchise record in the regular season. Tonight, they broke the NBA record in the Finals. Not just Spurs' team record. :)

Oh.
Houston Rockets had 14 in game 1 of the 1995 finals
Orlando Magic had 14 in game 4 of the 1995 finals
and Miami Heat had 14 in game 5 of the 2012 finals

I knew the first 2. Didn't know Miami had tied it. That Rockets team could rain 3's when they were on. Horry especially, but they had a bunch of bombers. They set that record, and then Orlando came back a few games later and did the same thing to them.

We'll break it once again this year.

Book it.

Amazing. The Rockets set the record in 1995, and 3 games later the Magic tie it. The Heat tie the record in last year's Finals, and 3 (Finals) games later, the Spurs break it.

And you have the number 79 in your screen name. Put all those numbers together and you got:

9-7+3=5

Spurs Drive for 5 happens in Game 5!

Amazing that Orlando had Shaq and dropped 14 3s in that finals game and still lost the game

danny green also broke the previous record:

By Elias Sports Bureau

Danny Green has made 16 3-point field goals in his first three career NBA Finals games. That's the most 3-pointers made over a three-game span in the Finals for any player in NBA history. The previous record for threes made over a three-game span in the Finals was 15 by Ray Allen spanning the 2008 and 2010 Finals.
