It used to come on NBC Saturday morning cartoons. During the intro a bunch of buildings in whatever city they were in, I forget, would sway back and forth singing "Oh la oh la ay!" It was the shit.

Gotta agree with that one. No matter how many times I've seen each episode, I always watch every single one on TBS from 5-6. Curb your Enthusiasm is up there as well, same Seinfeld situations just a happening to a different person.

hey i just looked up info about the kid n play cartoon

i cant find any freakin pics...it was on from 1990-1991

did you know that play had to quit filming class act bc of colon cancer?...that was on wikipedia dunno how reliable that is, but i always thought the ending was just kind of thrown together and rushed

midgetonadonkey
07-14-2005, 10:06 PM
Yeah I was looking for pics too but to no avail. My girl used to record them all back in the day, I have her looking for the old VHS tapes now. I hope they come up because those cartoons were the shit. Damn colon cancer, I didn't know about that shit. I still do the Kid N Play every time I hear "Ain't gonna hurt nobody," how about you?

and Tom & Jerry is cool in a violent sort of way

I always thought Jerry was pretty hardcore. He would kick the shit out of Tom every single time. Except for the episodes where Jerry wore the bow-tie and he was friends with Tom. Those were shit. They were better rivals than friends.

Play was this shit, a ladies man in his own right, but I always felt that Kid was the brains of the whole operation. They both spit dope rhymes but I think Kid was the reason behind House Party and Class Act.

Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs 1943
Because the film is a cartoon masterpiece, a cultural tour de force of 1940's America, and a vital example of how animation is often able to capture a nation's social nuances in ways that live-action films can never hope to do, Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs should be seen by animation fans and anyone else interested in the evolution of our cultural mythos. There is, however, a problem. The film contains what are today considered shockingly racist images..

What's Opera, Doc? (1957)
The short is also sometimes known in the vernacular as Kill the Wabbit after the line sung by Fudd to the tune of the Ride of the Valkyries.

I Love to Singa (1936)
A spoof of Al Jolson's "The Jazz Singer," a strict piano teaching owl is cursed with a son who "loves to singa," but only jazz.
