View Full Version : Spurs will get more credit if they lose in 6/7 than if they win

If the Spurs win the championship, it will be written off as a fluke because Wade and Bosh were hurt, and LeBron was in an unfortunate slump, and the Spurs got lucky hitting lots of 3's. The media will say that the Heat lost the series, not that the Spurs won.

If the Spurs lose the championship, they will be considered a historically just great, great team that had Miami on the ropes before the immortal LeBron & co. rose up heroically to overcome them.

That's just how it is, folks.

I think what is right about this is that the media will color everything in terms of the Heat. If the Heat win, they will have defeated "Their Toughest Opponents Ever" in the Spurs.

If they lose, they'll be relegated to an overrated team that couldn't defeat a good, but not great, Spurs team.

We've seen this script before.

Win over anything. All the bullshit you mentioned would be from media pundits who have no effect on what actually goes on in the game.

This is utter utter jibber jabber.

This team will be heralded as one of the ages, that rose up with a Trio in their twilight and Bigger than life Role players that Overthrew the Fake King his 2 Queens their 66 team of mercenaries.

This Puts a stamps on the Dynasty.

And anyway I don't give a damn how the media misconstrues the Spurs potential victory... we can see if it was a fluke next year as defending champs.

Who gives a damn? Let's hang another championship banner and let the east coast journalists put whatever spin they want on it. I, and anyone on our team, could care less.
