There was a lot of speculation in the Scola thread about the upcomming roster so I thought I would start a thread strictly for that debate.

Starters
1 Tony Parker #9
2 Manu Ginobili # 20
3 Bruce Bowen
4 Tim Duncan # 21
5 Fabrico Oberto-(Awesome passing, better than stone hands mohammad)

---------------------------------
Bench
1 Beno Udrich
2 Brent Barry
3 Devin Brown
4/5 Horry
4/5 Mohammad
Linton Johnson III
Glenn Robinson

I dont think that the Spurs managment is going to hold onto the contract of one Rasho Nesterovich, whom popovich is not willing to play anymore. I also think neither Mohammad nor Rasho play into the Spurs future plans as the will be looking to bring in Ian Mahinimi within a year or two. By the time Oberto's contract is up I am fairly sure the Spurs will have had Ian here for at least one season of backup minutes. Mohammad will fetch more money on the open market than the Spurs will be willing to play a limited offensive player with defensive shortcomings.

So Rasho just disappears?

No the spurs waive him via the Allen Houston mulligan, For all the stupidity on this board with reguard to SAR, there is absolutley no reason for the SPurs to add a player to the roster right now.

And by my last on SAR, no one can honestly think the Spurs are looking for a backup 4 when that is by far the strongest position on the team, especially not with the attitude problems and added salary. The best thing to do right now is to save roster spots for future players a la Mahinim and Sandizkid
