Wrong. This is probably the most important award an NBA player can win in the 21st century. It illustrates the player's popularity and drawing power in the social media world, and social media, as silly as it might seem to you uncultured hicks in Texass, is now the NBA's biggest advertising platform.
In other words, Kobe has done more for the NBA through twitter than Jim has by winning 4* titles.
