I don't know about you guys, but I miss seeing the big - and I mean big - yellow Larry O'Brien trophy emblem that would decorate the center of the court during the 2005 and 2007 NBA Finals. Wish that practice hadn't been discontinued.

Im glad someone mentioned it, I actually miss it too.

I liked seeing it, made a huge difference on the appearance of the court. Making it feel more Finals like. Now you only see "NBA FINALS" near the baselines of each side, and theres really nothing else different about the court in comparison to a regular season game.

And I know they never had that giant trophy in the Finals before 2004 but I thought it was a cool addition. I wonder why they went away from it

Never noticed it was gone but now that they've mentioned it, yes I would have loved to have it.

Did not like it that much at the time.

What I actually liked was the old school "NBA FINALS 198*" type of logo on the court.

Clear, simple, and visually very helpful, when viewing replays of older finals series.

They just went back to the traditional script font with no embellishments.

Hey, do they still have the giant inflatable O'Briens set up on the court before the games get underway? Had 'em when I went to Game 2 in 2007.

When did they get rid of the trophy at center court? Last year? I know they had it in 2011. I miss it to. It was like a special court decoration for the Finals. It was great.

I was looking forward to the big trophy. Since I hadn't watched a Finals game since 2007, I expected it to be there.
