I didn't believe for a second he wouldn't play. Will he be reasonably healthy? That's what we'll have to wait and see..........

I'm not surprised. However, it tells us almost nothing about how healthy Parker is, only that he's at least 25%. We'll have to see how he looks in the 2nd quarter and beyond.

TeamBall is gonna win the title. Don't give us this defeatist bullshit that we cannot win without Parker.

If he's able to move somewhat quickly/hit a jumper, that's all Spurs need from him. Make the D concerned early on then dish it to an open shooter afterwards.

Not as important as knowing how Lebron is going to play tonight. He's promising a top performer-type of game. Kawhi better be ready because James is going to be looking to score and get to the line.

Would he have announced so early during the day that he's playing if he was struggling with the injury? They would have made it a game-time decision. The fact he said from now he's playing is a positive I think, obviously he's not 100% but I think he will be 'Ok'. Wouldn't be surprised if he pulled off a huge game even, he's here and he knows it's one of his last chances, and he promised Duncan another NBA Finals. He's not stopping now.

A win tonight and this series may be over. Go Spurs Go!

We will see some vintage TP, Tim, and Manu tonight. This is when their experience will help them withstand the onslaught the Heat will likely bring. Spurs will be hard to beat tonight. :lobt2:

I'm mostly concerned about TP's ability to run a mile or 2 running and cutting around screens on defense as well as on offense. He thrives off of running, running and more running. Chalmers & Cole will be testing him big time...not to mention screeners like Haslem and Birdman kneeing him.

Not too worried about The Queen tonight tbh. If our defense runs with the same intensity as game 3, we should be alright.

Some people are worried sick and rightfully so. But I suspect Parker is trolling the Miami Heat and the media, I'm not so sure is as hurt or concerned as he is letting on. An 80-85 percent Parker is enough to win the game tonight and the series.

A hamstring strain, even a mild one is no joke. It's not that strong of a muscle and severely limits your moving and explosiveness. It doesn't really get warm either. We will miss TP's quickness i'm afraid.

Don't count on it. He will be settling for jump shots and won't play in the 2nd half. James will have a huge game and the Spurs won't get as many good open looks from 3 point land. Spurs will be losing at halftime by a good margin.

It's not a lack of faith in Tony. It's appropriate fear of a hamstring injury.

My friend is a friend of Nicolas Batum as he met him few times previously in France and in Dubai.. He hangs out with him occasionally when they're in the same city and is in touch with him every once a while. He messaged to ask him if he spoke to TP and the response was: "He told me that it hurts him but it's the finals! he will give it his all" (the chat was in French so that's a translation)

Pop said last night on NBA TV that it was basically up to TP whether he plays which means he's playing. We need to force Miami to account for him regardless. I suspect Miami will have a "no TP" strategy in their hip pocket regardless as well, probably some type of all out blitz/trapping approach on the replacement. We should be prepared (regardless x 3) in this chess match and Miami "no TP" strategy probably is boom/bust and therefore high risk if we can break the pressure.

Parker scored 6 points in the 30+ point blowout, as long as the ball movement continues and the three ball doesn't completely dessert us, we got this ish!

The Heat have devoted a ton of defensive resources to making sure Tony doesn't tear them up. It's not that the Spurs can't win without Tony, but if the Heat don't have to scheme for Tony, there won't be the same kind of good shots to be had somewhere else.

In spite of the negative posters saying Spurs will lose, the Spurs will win game 4! TP will play probably limited minutes & will probably be a distributor if he can't go full force! I have a hamstring pull myself and it's painful, but I don't have best medical attention that TP has and he will be fine! He played with bruised calf in GS series and he was fine! Go Spurs Go!

or if he lasts... i still have visions in my head of the lakers/pistons finals in which magic was nursing a bad hammy but still played...and then, pop !, right in the middle of the game-it was all over.

of course, magic probably was playing on a stretched fiber and may have even had bruising/bleeding (unlike tony) and the treatment we have now is certainly better so perhaps it's just paranoia.

Agree, but this is where....
Ad-just-ments. Certainly expect a Hall of Fame coach to be able to.
Green and Neal continued to bomb treys after Parker was out.

CoJo aint Parker but he has shown he can ball.

2008 Pop curled up his balls and continued to try to go with 50% Ginobili. Brent Barrdog got the call a game too late and put up a GNoblike performance of 25/5 on 70% fga with a couple steals to boot. Joey Crawford mounted Derek Fisher and **cked Barry out of three game winning fts otherwise we're looking at 2-2 vs Lakerphag.

This. Absolutely my biggest fear, and a huge expectation. And he won't get any help from the refs if they keep kneeing him.

The issue is not whether or not he WILL play; it is how EFFECTIVE he can be playing injured.

Funny that Neal said that, considering Bonner is the one who throws bricks off his shoulders. Was it a veiled insult? Friendly jab?

I'm not an expert on body language, but I can read it better than a lot of people. Parker's body language, facial expressions and the look in his eyes during today's interview (where he gave the same answer 3 times) was scary. As in, scary because he appears to be kidding himself about being ready to play. He's injured and he knows it, but he's a warrior so he'll play, ala RGIII in the NFL playoffs...I fear this will end with Parker pulling up lame, or worse, blowing out his hammie.
