Unless if there's something I'm missing this sounds like a lame lawsuit by Scarlett and her team! http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/rolleyes.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/embarrassed.gif
Sometimes she is so stupid and up her own backside.... Some people have got real problems..... And she is suing someone over her name being mentioned in a fucking book?!!! That's really going to harm her image, isn't it?! http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/rolleyes.gif Almost as harmful as, say, posting photos of yourself with your tits out?!!! I'm sorry, but what a crock of shit...
Has Stephen Stills (CSNY) sued the writers of Scott Pilgrim?! Has he fuck! That's because he knows the ways of this world, and not everything is about making money, and that to 'own' a name is just so lame arsed and is twatty behaviour of the highest order... I bet there is another Scarlett Johansson somewhere in the world (probably in Scandinavia somewhere!), but I doubt if she will be as spoiled and obnoxious as the one everyones knows and loves.... err... knows... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/rolleyes.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/right.gif
Mind you, if some other, fellow famous Hollywood star wrote some piece of crap and mentioned her in it (or a song by some crappy indie band or 'artist' who is the current toast of the celeb tosserratii! Like that Steeltrain shit a while back!), I bet she would be all over them like a rash and writing tributes of her own in Variety or Vanity Fair... What nauseating hypocrisy.... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/frown.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/right.gif
It is so absurd... Even real people don't do this sort of shit... I know a landscape gardener name of Paul McCartney (really!), but he hasn't been sued by the world famous Beatle because he has the name 'P.M McCartney' on the side of his van.... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/rolleyes.gif...
One friend of mine came up with a real gem about this latest instance of Scarlett shitty behaviour....
I said 'Maybe she is trying to get French attention?!"
My friend replied: 'She already gets plenty of that!' http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/grin.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/wink.gif
Completely agree with you there, V.... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/smiley.gif
Shakespeare, Plato, Aristotle, Sophocles, Dante Alighieri, Marquis de Sade, Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, John Wilmot, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Jean Cocteau, Oscar Wilde, Saki, Bob Dylan, Scott Walker, Lennon and McCartney.....
All of these writers used contemporary figures in their writing..... No artist should be censored, and no author should be told who or what they are allowed to write in fiction....
Is she just obnoxious or just unbelievably thick?! Has it occured to her that this could be a good idea?! Man in sleepy French town sees (or thinks he sees!) a world famous film actress out and about... But it is actually someone else entirely.... European art cinema with a star name involved (playing herself, when she actually isn't)?! Sounds like a winner to me... And a star name with a nicer personality and a less up her own arse attitude might just do this story as a movie... Anne Hathaway maybe?! Y'know, thinking about it now, I am glad Scarlett didn't get the role in Les Miserables and that it went to Anne instead....
Also, what you said, Veronika: about her and untrue (cough! http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/up.gif) stories in the papers: Funny that she's suing this author and his publishers, yet she has never sued the tabloid press about stories involving hotel elevators and suchlike..... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/lipsrsealed.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/right.gif
And it's a shame Spitting Image isn't around now either... Because they would have used her name, made a puppet based on her, took the piss mercilessly, and they wouldn't have given a shit.... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/wink.gif
Funny how she didn't seem so concerned about the unauthorized use of a famous person's name in a work of fiction when she didHitchcock, The Other Boleyn Girl and Girl With A Pearl Earing. And those are far worse uses since they all make up a bunch of stuff about the famous people in question and then pass it all off as real.
It's interesting to me to learn that the book in question has only been released in French. Scarlett doesn't read French! I think somebody out there has given her some really bad information ... and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that somebody is her new French boyfriend. This is the same boyfriend who introduced her to the guy who gave her that horrible 'Lucky You' tattoo ... and now THIS! Looks like Scarlett has found herself another winner! Scarlett needs to drop this lawsuit asap ... it's stupid! And while she's at it she needs to drop this bf as well!!! At the end of the day Scarlett only has herself to blame ... but this guy is clearly giving her some really bad advice when it comes to ink ... both the kind that comes in book form and the kind you put on your body! http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/cheesy.gif
You could have something there, Charlie Boy.... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/left.gif
I have also heard that this French boyfriend of hers is a bit of a prick: and also a bit of a possessive control freak to boot... http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/right.gif http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/rolleyes.gif
A 'Lucky You' tattoo?! Not only is this the kind of bad taste usually associated with tacky transfer vending machines, but Lucky for getting him?!! I've seen better heads on a pint of beer....

You're so right. http://scarlett-forum.com/Smileys/grey/cheesy.gif I didn't even think about Scarlett when I wrote this because I don't seem to consider her as an artist any more. She's just an "actress to hire" like she said herself. Most people would get angry when somebody would call them something like this. "a teacher to hire", "an artist to hire"... As long as people have some kind of freedom for their own opinions and beliefs in their jobs they would find this offensive. Of course a plumber wouldn't find this offensive, but that's a very different job. I don't really have a job description yet, but whatever I may do after university, I would find this very offensive.
Not having a college degree or any college experience can be a real deficiency to one's life, tbh. :lol
