Unless our team wants to dive in hell and win 2 straight in Miami which isn't impossible, but with Tony's injury... I don't see it happening. Thoughts?

LOL. Tim Duncan just went Spurstalk in the post game by saying "every game is a must win."

Not a must win, but pretty damn close

Trolling aside... If we lose game 5, that would put Miami ahead 3-2 plus games 6 and 7 will be played in their homecourt. Those are do or die games for the Spurs. Unless this series goes to game 7, I will treat game 5 as a must win.

You can ignore all past treads about must wins, this game 5 is the one.

This is easily the most dire finals situation the spurs have been in since the back to back blowouts in '05. The only difference this time is that Ginobili is seriously hurting the team instead of helping.

While Miami's big 3 found the Manu fountain of greatness.

In other breaking news, water is wet, Barack Obama is a liberal, and the entire Miami Heat roster likes to flop.

Must-win for both sides I think. To get the 3-win lead is huge.

It's a must win and even then the odds are strongly against us to win the series. Let's face it, the Spurs blew a huge opportunity tonight. Most likely cost themselves the series tbh.

Series is over either way. Just avoiding the inevitable. Spurs blew their chance at a title tonight. Manu isn't magically going to show up like many are expecting. Parker is hurt. Duncan is old. Role players mostly garbage on the road. Hopefully we won't get blown out.

If we could win game 4 we would have a big chance to win this series unfortunately we lose so I would say we just have 30 % to win Game 5

Even if we luckily win game 5 it does not mean we can close out this series in Game 6 probably we would lose 2 straight to finish this season

you always want to finish a season with a smile but the truth is that the Heat are obviously the better team I won't blame on Manu ,TP or anyone on the team all of them had been doing great jobs throughout the season in terms of their age

We are western conference champion, we battle with the best team on the earth and won 2 games of the NBA Finals

what can you ask for more? how can you ask for more?

Thank all of you for giving me a dream to win 2013 NBA championship, a really sweet dream

Timmy's 5th ring. IDC about TP, Manu, Pop... All I care about now is for Timmy to win his 5th. Is that too much too ask?

True. I can live with losing all the wagers I have for this series, but no words can describe how seeing that 5th slip away from Timmy.

Since they threw this game away, yeah it is. Spurs lose next game, series is done. Spurs win it, series really isn't done yet either.

Rest of series is going to be an uphill battle now.

There's no way in hell they win both in Miami.

Miami has not lost two in a row since January, I think. And even if we win game 5 then lose game 6, I can't calculate the percentage of our chance of winning in their home court in a do or die game 7.

The theme of this Finals series so far has been that the more "desperate" team has won each game if you think about it. Spurs win Game 1. Miami wins Game 2 knowing they don't wanna come to SA down 0-2. Spurs win Game 3 to stop Miami's momentum. Heat win Game 4 avoiding a 3-1 deficit.

The Spurs should be the more desperate team in Game 5. They know the chances of winning BOTH Game 6 and 7 in Miami are slim to none. They know they have to go all out to win Game 5....

Yes game 5 is basically a must win for the Spurs. They can not afford to go back to Miami down 3-2 just as game 4 was basically a must win for the CHeat.

Every game where the team who's back was to the wall that team has won the game. It's the Spurs turn now.

Great post as usual, 41times. Thanks for not being one of those Mavs fans. :sleep

:cry "My 2011 Mavs are the ONLY team in The NBA who deserve such an honor and a privilege of beating Miami in The Finals... and I'm going to make sure to bring it up 41 times a day so The Spurs will never EVER forget it. EVER." :cry :lol

I expect the spurs to win game 5. It is about time for a game to go down to the wire and won with a last second shot, SA gets one game in this series that way and it will be in game 5.

I believe this as well, which is why if they lose game 5 I will not be in the we can do it or believe threads if they happen to exist! I will just concede defeat and get ready for summer. I hope they win though and then bring us home a title in 6.
