Some of the games will be televised on NBATV, but on tape delay in about a week. :( So hopefully our posters in Utah will give us some updates.

Also, my good friend, Noel Felix, is playing for the Sonics team. So we all need to root for him too :)

Jamal Sampson might be okay to be on IR. Melvin Sanders is a big scorer that might be worth looking at. But overall, it's not a great roster.

Last year I had NBATV and was excited to watch Devin play and get a first glimpse at Udrih. This year, no NBATV and I couldn't care less. That's an unsightly lineup.

Salt Lake City -- Britton Johnson came up with all the big shots for
the San Antonio Spurs in a tight __-__ win over a pesky Seattle
Supersonics squad to kick off day two of the 2005 Reebok Rocky
Mountain Revue Saturday in Salt Lake City.

The former University of Utah star has made a lot of great memories
playing in Salt Lake City. Add Saturday's 17 points, 6 of 11 shooting
performance to that list. The 6-10 forward also displayed a great deal
of range in making 4 of 5 threes on the day.

But with the game tight late, it was his three with .50 seconds left
that would give the Spurs all the cushion they needed to win the game.

The Spurs took control of the game early, with a balanced scoring
attack led by point guard Andre Barrett. Barrett's pull-up jumper at
the 8:54 mark put the hot Spurs up 8-2. But Seattle managed to keep
the score by countering with Noel Felix, whose six straight points for
the Sonics in the last three minutes of the first kept San Antonio
from pulling away. Spurs guard Billy Thomas popped a three as the
buzzer sounded, leaving the Spurs up 25-19.

It was much of the same in the second quarter, as nine first-half
turnovers kept Seattle from mounting a serious challenge. University
of Utah product Johnson stepped up for San Antonio, hitting a three at
5:24, then following with another one 30 seconds later to keep the
Spurs up by 5, 32-27. After hitting two free-throws (to score eight
consecutive points for the Spurs), Johnson would top off his hot
streak with a strong block on the Sonics' Jermaine Blackburn. But
Seattle would make a run before the half, led by the strong post
presence of rookie first-round pick Johan Petro. The score at the
half: San Antonio 40, Seattle 35.

Seattle would have their chances in the second half. Led by the sturdy
play of Scales, the Sonics would manage to tie the game up briefly at
45 halfway through the third, but Johnson was there again, combining
with former Florida guard Justin Hamilton to keep Seattle at bay.
Hamilton stole the ball at midcourt, then raced for slam. Twenty
seconds later he would drive into the middle of the lane for a
floating finger roll that placed San Antonio back up by four, 49-45 at
3:33 left in the third. Johnson then proceeded to take a charge from
Andre Brown before nailing a three with less than two minutes in the
quarter.

Seattle managed their strongest charge in the fourth, taking advantage
of Jermaine Blackburn's 10 points in the period. But Johnson was there
again to secure the win.
Down by just 3 with less than two minutes in the game after a Robert
Swift free-throw, Johnson drove the final nail in the coffin with a
perfectly shot three from the top of the key. After a series of missed
San Antonio free throws, Seattle had a chance to win the game, but
Aaron Miles three at the buzzer missed the rim entirely.

Alex Scales played a strong game to lead the Sonics, scoring 15 points
on 6-of-12 shooting to go with 5 assists. Melvin Sanders, Andre
Barrett, and Josh Asselin all joined Johnson in double-digit point for
the Spurs.

There's 17 players listed on the Spurs' roster. I wonder how many of them are actually there. Last season, the RMR listed a lot of players on the Spurs that were cut before the camp started.

URGENT BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP

I am Alhaji Mohammed Abacha, the son of the late
Nigerian Head of State who died on the 8th of June
1998 while in active services.
Following the sudden death of my father, General Sani
Abacha, the present Civilian Government has thrown my
family and I into a state of utter confusion,
frustration, and hopelessness. I have been subjected to
inhuman physical and physiological torture,
incarceration by the security Agents in my country. I
was only recently released from detention after been
arraigned before the Federal High Court of Nigeria for
an offence committed by my late father.

The incumbent civilian administration of Chief
Olusegun Obasanjo has intensified his probe into my
late father's activities while in the office and he
has frozen all our local and foreign accounts together
with other assets of my family as a retaliation for
what my late father did to him when he was alive as
the Head of the Military regime in Nigeria. As a
matter of fact, we have been declared bankrupt and
they are not relenting to make us poor for life.

As a man that is so traumatized, I have lost
confidence with anybody within my country as all those
who benefited immensely during the regime of my late
father have openly abandoned all my family.

MY REASONS FOR CONTACTING YOU.

I got your contacts through my personal research and
out of desperation decided to reach you through this
medium.

You must have heard over the media reports and the
Internet on the recovery of various huge sums of money
deposited by my late father in different Banks and
security firms abroad. Some of these banks and
security firms willingly gave-up/divulge their banking
secrets and disclosed to the present civilian
administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, all my
family's cash lodgement and monetary transactions with
them.

Please my dear, I repose great confidence in you and I
hope you will not betray my confidence in you.

I have secretly deposited the sum of $20,000,000.00
with a security firm abroad whose name is withheld for
now until we open communications. The money is
contained in a metal box consignment with Security
Deposit Number.

I shall be grateful if you could receive this fund
into your Bank account for safekeeping. This
arrangement is known to you and my junior brother
(Abbas) only. So I will deal directly with you. I am
proposing a 20% share of the fund to you for your kind
assistance. I shall provide for you all the documents
of the fund deposit with the security firm, and raise
a power of attorney `to enable you claim and receive
this fund into your bank account.

Also this transaction demands absolute
confidentiality. On no condition must you disclose it
to anybody irrespective of your relation with the
person. Remember, Loose lips sinks ship

I am looking forward to your urgent and positive
response via my email above.

Best regards

Alhaji Mohammed Abacha.

I'm hoping that Karaulov gets some more minutes in the upcoming games. His European team is stacked and it doesn't look like he'll get minutes anytime soon. It'd probably be better to just bring him over and stick him in the NBDL.

Hopefully he proves worthy of that in the upcoming games.

Another player to keep an eye on is Justin Hamilton. He's the guy who owned Luis Scola in the Euro championship game.

If he's willing to work, he has a chance to be a late bloomer who can come in and be the elusive "long three".

My junior season was pretty good, my senior season was good. But my two years after high school was losing. I think that was the main thing, it's you miss winning.

How disappointed were you that you weren’t selected in the 2004 NBA Draft?

AB: I was very upset. But I had a feeling, the reason why was cause my school career, and what your team did. It wasn’t mainly based on what I did. As a point guard, you got to lead your team to wins. And I think I failed my first two years, and I got the point my junior and senior year. But, you know, you learn and you get through it.

Do you think the losing was mainly because of Eddie Griffin left Seton Hall for the NBA after your freshman season?

AB: Naw, I think it was the chemistry overall. People just wanted to do their own thing, and not do what the team wanted to do. And it is kind of hard as a point guard, trying to lead guys in one way, and some guys want to do their own thing.

Being with three NBA teams last season, what has this past year been like for you?

AB: It’s been a tough year. I think I had to learn a lot. When I went to New York I learned the system, I learned the NBA business. When I went to Houston, I was able to stay on for most of the year. And at the end, I was sent to Orlando. And I think Orlando is where I kinda got an opportunity to showcase what I can do. And you know that just came throughout the whole process of being nervous at first with New York, then in Houston just trying to fit in, getting the opportunity to play here and there. But you know, you just have to build your confidence up.

How do you deal with being cut two times and switching teams so much?

AB: I mean, you just got to come up with the attitude that it ain’t gonna happen again. When I came to New York, I didn’t know what was going to happen. In the Houston situation, it wasn’t that I wasn’t good enough or anything like that. It just came down to people getting hurt, and the person who made the less amount of money. And I fell into that situation, but I think if that weren’t the case I definitely wouldn’t have gotten cut.

Does it bother you having uncertainty in your future?

AB: Yeah, it bothers me a lot. Because you know you have to come out here and always impress somebody. I think a lot of people have an idea on how I can play and if I can play on this level. So you have to keep showing and proving. And I don’t mind keep playing the game of basketball, I like to play. So if I have to keep coming out and showing people I can play, then it works in my favor.

So you’re saying basketball is still fun. You try not to look at it as a business?

AB: It definitely is a business, naw, don’t get it wrong. But you got to take the business part out of it when you step on the court. Off the court, you have to realize it’s a business. But when you step on the court, you got to try to have as much fun as possible, and just come out and play. I mean, you can’t worry about what people think about you. If one person likes you, that’s good enough.

What are your goals in this league?

AB: I just want to be a consistent player in the NBA. Someone that you know that, when he steps on the floor, is a dangerous player and he’s gonna be able to contribute on any team.

Do you think you’ll find a home in the NBA soon?

AB: Hopefully. I’m out here working and I’m getting better every game and every day. I think my improvement from last year to this year is a big improvement. I am a lot more aggressive, and I’m looking for my shot and I’m looking for things within the offense. I know I have a lot more experience out there.

add Justin Hamilton to SoliD D's list and you hae the "to watch list of who could make the roster next year or who will stay on spurs radar.

In case spurs do not trade rasho or nazr there is 5 spots free on the roster. It could leave as much as 3 or 4 places open for this guys
