Kanye is a fucking annoying bastard tbh. Acts like a female most of the time. Perfect fit for KK.

What's this shit about "yeezus" or whatever?

I've only listened through it once but I thought it had some solid songs. I wasn't impressed with I am God, but it still seemed like a good album. At first listen it didn't seem like it stacked up to most of his others, but Ill have to give it some more time.

Everyone that has posted ITT so far is a faggot.

I will listen soon. I wasn't a big fan of Death Grips initially, but their industrial style won me over. Maybe this will take a few listens.

the album had was poorly made. i can tell ye rushed through this. anyways, my fav tracks are the 2nd half of the album: new slaves, im in it, guilt trip, blood on the leaves and bond 2. everything else, the whole punk/rap was poorly executed. he tried his best niggy tardust impression but failed. this is his last album for def jam so i'm hoping he rushed this shit out for contractual obligations.

but yea, blood on the leaves and guilt trip are my fav songs so far.

album is average, i give it 3 mics out of 5.

oh crap

i'm in it, guilt trip, bound 2 are my favorite listens to so far.

- blood on the leaves would have been better sans the auto tune.
- new slaves is growing on me.

not sure how i feel about 10 songs + multiple beat switches and the like.
a strong 3.5/light 4 (out of 5) is what I would rate it so far.

gonna have a listen to born sinner and WMWTSO soon.

I'm starting to like this a lot. It makes me want a Kanye-produced Justin Vernon album.

And go ahead and check my last.fm plays

I wish Bound 2 had something different for a hook (the charlie wilson part), or just had that taken out altogether. The key change throws it off, and not in a good way.

I can't choose a favorite right now. I'll need more listens.

I don't really care about Pitchfork's opinion all that much. They gave James Blake's first album a ridiculous score, even though it was boring as shit.

Really can't pick one either. I'd lean towards Black Skinhead and Hold my Liquor right now, though.

Bee tee dubz, that's it. No booklet inside. No tracklisting. Just who he sampled in the back.

I'm going to listen to the album again after the game.

On an unrelated note, that Atoms For Peace album was boring as shit. Thom needs to get his head in the game.

I've probably got more than 10 listens on this.

I'd go

MBDTF
LR
Yeezus
CD
Graduation
808's

Samuel Eto'o
06-18-2013, 09:11 PM
tbh, even though I like the album, I'd currently might put it last on that list. I haven't listened to it much so that probably a premature opinion. I also really liked 808's, and I know some people didn't like it.

Tim duncan is fucking shitting on niggas, btw.

I have listened to Yeezus 3 times and still haven't really made up my mind as to whether I like it or not. I'd probably rank this last just for the turn of momentum away from MBDTF--which is my favorite Kanye album followed by College Dropout, Late Reg., Grad, and 808's...maybe a few more times and I'll appreciate it for what it is and what it is attempting to convey.

I'm not blown away by this, but I see the greatness. Kanye's a genius, plain and simple. He's an egotistical douchebag and lyrically he's mostly garbage, but musically he's still a genius. Also, I wish reviewers would understand that something that sounds different doesn't automatically make it "experimental". I don't know that comparing this to Kid A is doing it any favors, Shabazz Palaces is closer to that than Yeezus, but at least it's interesting and different from the usual boring predictable rappers out there. Although the best song by far is the one that sounds most like a typical Kanye song tbh.

1. MBDTF
2. Graduation
3. College Dropout
4. Yeezus
5. 808's
6. Late Registration
7. Cruel Summer
8. silence
9. cats screaming in the middle of the night
10. Watch The Throne

basically. nothing about this album is groundbreaking, kanye swagger jacked lesser known punk/rap artists like niggy tardust and added his lil twist to it. my boy ferrari sums it up nicely.
