View Full Version : Spurs: Why do the Spurs never get called for fouls?

They are always one of the last teams in fouls and they have the least fouls per game in the playoffs this year.

it has always been the case. They had Bowen the hacking machine and Duncan gets away with murder but they never call fouls against them:lmao. Suns and Mavs fans can back me up but Laker fans already know the truth.

It's because the NBA hype machine loves the Spurs. Nobody is better for ratings than the Spurs and nothing is better for business than more Spurs games every year.

This is simple.

Spurs team defense and rotations are always near perfect. Not being caught of position usually puts the onus on the ref to call something ticky tacky... which are the fouls Lebron aint getting.

Because the Spurs value, teach, and reward players who defend without fouling. It's a point of emphasis.

Or, to be more precise, rather than "without fouling", we should say, "without doing things that make it easy for an NBA ref to call a foul." Things like reaching rather than moving your feet, slapping at rather than deflecting or tipping the ball, defending from the side, or jumping at the offensive player.

Superstars get treated like superstars. Deal with it.

The last 3 games were played in San Antonio. When the series returns to Miami things will turn around, and that's why I predict the spurs won't win another game in Miami

The last Spurs foul I remember is Robert Horry's hip check on Steve Nash back in 2007, and that was only to send a message.
