Good game guys. Congratulations to the Miami Heat! You deserve the championship. I'll give credit where credit is due, Lebron played great when it mattered.
We'll give it a go again next year, with Kahwi in there I'm quite optimistic with our future. Spurs for Life! Proud of you guys.

I am so depressed and angry right now. I have always disliked LeBron, but now I thoroughly hate him and wouldn't be upset if he got hit by a car while out celebrating tonight. I just hate his monkey-faced, entitled shit-eating grin. I JUST HATE HIM AND EVERYTHING THAT IS MIAMI AND ALWAYS WILL!! Die Lebron, die!

I agree! Proud of our Spurs! Timmy, Kawhi & Manu came to play! Unfortunately no one else showed up!

It sucks that Duncan didn't get his fifth ring, but LeBron James EARNED this one, no doubt. Congrats! :toast

Pop showing true class there at the end, too. In the end, it is just a game.

Offseason now...get ready to reload and unleash the BAYNES!!!

Of course, as always...

GO SPURS GO!!!!!

Eventhough I have been a member of this board for years, I have never posted before. I think tonight is the perfect opportunity to say I adore my Spurs and I'm damn proud of them. We all know we had it in the bag and just let it slip, but shit happens. They were warriors out there and I thank them for giving me so much joy during so many years. Timmy, you are an inspiration. Go Spurs Go!

I have a feeling he'll win a ring some day as a Spur. He's too good not to.

He just has to learn to hit his free throws when they matter the most.

They have the trophy and will get their rings but they had to rely on a chokejob of epic proportions to barely pull out a 7 game Finals...and that's with them basically buying their way to contention. I can't and won't respect that and I don't care if people think that makes me a sore loser. This Spurs team is better than this Heat team. There, I had to get that off my chest.

Listen, I am not a spur fan, so I am completely detached. I am just fishing here for my own benefit. But, look, without Parker, Manu taking those impulsive plays, you guys wouldn't have been this far. Down the stretch, pop made conciois effort to pound it to Ducan who missed a couple very make-able ones. Not saying Ducan should take the blame, but you guys gotta be more appreciative about you team. The rest of fans have a lot of respect for Timmy, Parker, Manu and Pop. Who had thought this old spurs would have gone 7 game with the heat in the freaking finals at the beginning of this season. Nobody gave this team a chance. Man, this roster of old guys with a couple of young puppies are not supposed to this good. So give your team and Pop some credit. I know it's tough for you guys how this run ended, but be grateful, pay some respect to your team and opponents. Now go back to your sorrow mode.

What more could they have done? They basically earned the championship and had it taken away.

They'll be back. Tim isn't finished yet.

I am now on a shit-train to "let's get fucked up and celebrate a great team who almost got there"-ville.

But fuck those bandwagon Heat fans, fuck them entirely.

Exactly man. It's just that the impulsive emotion that every Spur fan feels right now is kicking in, wounds need time to heal.

Throughout the game, I kept asking myself how the Spurs managed to keep up with the Heat. I mean, LeBron and Wade got their midrange game going (James his three-point shot as well), Battier was shooting lights out from downtown, the Heat's defense was good. On the other hand, it was clear pretty much after the first couple of minutes that TP just didn't have anything left in the tank. Green was being made a non-factor offensively by Miami's defensive attention to him, Neal wasn't hitting his shots as well - and yet, the Spurs were right in this game till the last minute.
You gotta tip your hat to Duncan, KL and Manu. Sure, Manu had a hand in a couple of turnovers late in the fourth quarter, but he played with great energy, attacked the rim and made a lot of good plays for his teammates. Overall, I think he really played well. The same goes for Tim, who amazingly looked like one of the fresher players out on the court in this game. Sure, his point-blank miss down two points hurts, but stuff like this happens, even to all-time greats.
As to Kawhi, I think he was just monumental. To me, he was the best Spur in Game 7. Heck, he even might have been the second best player on the floor after LeBron. You can't blame Leonard for keeping on daring James to shoot, because that clearly was by design. Overall, Kawhi had a fine performance defensively, and he keeps on growing before our very eyes offensively. I don't think you can play much better as a second-year guy that is still a roleplayer in a Game 7 in the NBA Finals than KL did.

Overall, I think our guys did an amazing job of staying in the game, considering a lot of things just weren't working for them, especially offensively. Being this close in a road game in the fourth quarter is all that we could hope for after Game 6, actually probably even more than we could have hoped for. In the end, they just came up short, but what an effort, what a series, what a season.

Just ecstatic over KL's. development this year when you consider he'd be a senior at SDSU, Spurs were really a godsend for him to tutor under the big 3. But I'm very concerned for his future, the big 3 are clearly at the end, if it was just one guy OK, but how are you going to replace all 3. I guess the one take away is we'll finally get to see if he can be a star, but how good will he really be without stars around him?

It was a brutal loss, but honestly Game 6 helped ease the pain by splitting the disappointment into two nights. I am very proud of this team and the effort they put in. Danny Green finally regressed to the mean with his shooting, but Miami did have a lot to do with that. Kawhi was a monster and really kept the Spurs in the game many times. Tony was gassed and I assume Tim was too, but did not show it much.
Hell of a team we have here with Kawhi and Danny getting better each year and the possibility of Joseph, De Colo, and Banes giving this team some more depth next year.

BTW, Stern should give that $250,000 back to the Spurs for being such good patsies and providing his beloved Heat a 7 game exciting series. "Play it to seven games, keep it close, but let them win it in the end."
