View Full Version : If there's any team that could win in a Game 7 at Miami, it would be the Spurs.

Let's face the bad news first: The odds are heavily against the Spurs - or any NBA team for that matter - winning a Game 7 in the playoffs on the road, especially against a team like the Heat. Plain and simple.

That being said, out of the 29 teams in the NBA not called the Miami Heat, I don't think you could name a single one that would have a better chance of pulling off an upset win on the road in Game 7 at Miami..........than the Spurs.

You might not be able to name a single head coach in the NBA better able to coach a team to such a playoff upset under such conditions, than Popovich.

You might not be able to name two players in the NBA who would possess more poise, playoff experience, tenacity and skill to win such a difficult game, than Duncan and Parker.

Again, the odds are stacked heavily against the Spurs, but they would be even heavier against any of the other 28 teams in the NBA.

Sure, given a few days rest.

It's not happening.

much like the celtics in 2010, rest mattered. game 7 was their 5th game in 7 nights. a 37 year old duncan just played 45 minutes

We are virtually even with this team on a neutral court. They'll be exhausted too. Given the home court and the age on Duncan, we'll be a little behind the 8 Ball.

I still give us about a 40% chance of winning this series.

We actually have a chance to make history here...

Haha no. A younger team, sure. Not when the only player that has shown up is 37 years old.

If you read my post, I said the odds were heavily stacked against the Spurs.

5% chance at best.

Like many have said, Spurs have blown their wad. Mentally, physically - they put everything on the floor and it was so very nearly enough.

However, to see the championship slip from their grasp - knowing full well it's the last chance most of them will ever get to winning the chip - would be back breaking for any team. 5 point lead with 22 secs to go...

Just think about how drained we all feel from watching that. Imagine how the team feels now.

Spurs win game 7, tbh. I didn't see anything from the Heat tonight that makes me feel they are that much better to crown them prematurely. Have faith and enjoy the ride!

Not after that...

Not after that... Spurs emptied the tanks and Pop set the building on fire...

I would agree that this team is certainly capable of such a feat. But not after the way they lost tonight. I hope like hell I'm wrong, but after this devastating loss, I'm worried they'll fall like a house of cards on Thursday if Miami goes on a big run.
