In the Duncan-Popovich Era alone
2004- .4
2006-Best Spurs team not to win
2012-Yes they were good enough
2013-The biggest choke of them all
1998-Nope
2000 2001 2002-Not good enough.Lakers Blazers Kings were better teams at some point
2008-Too old
2009-2011-Simply not good enough
This team should have 5-8 rings
That''s why Phil Jackson is ahead of Pop because his team always found a way to win when the championship was in grasp.

I agree with you on 2006, but 04 we weren't good enough and lost to a better team. I doubt we would have beaten the Pistons tbh.

Agree im just angry. It really boils down to 2006 and 2013
Both years Heat are likely to win now.

This is the only 1 we can say we choked it away.. The others there was work left to be done and who knows what would have happened down the road in 04 or 06..
But this tonight is the worst loss in franchise history nothing comes close... It feels like Tim Duncan's Spurs will finish with 4 rings when it truly in every way shape and form should have been 5..
Should have been 5..
Should have been 5..................

We should have had our first ring in 1979, had it not been for one of the most deliberate officiating fixes EVER.
Manu has now cost us two rings: 2006 and now 2013.

2013 Spurs team would have beaten the ever living crap out of the 2006 Spurs team
If the Mavs small ball dominated 2006, Kawhi would have averaged 10 steals per game. Tbh.

This was our only choke job. Fisher's shot was pure luck and '06 was just a dumbass play by Manu. Not a choke. This one is easily the worst loss in franchise history.

If the Spurs beat the Lakers in 04' they would beat Minny, and have a seven game battle with the Pistons. The Lakers were a trainwreck, and therefore, made the Pistons look a lot better. The Pistons were better in 05'. In 2006, the Spurs would have booted the Suns like always, and then the Heat would have had zero chance. In 2008, the foul call would have sent it to a sixth game; there was still work to be done. The Spurs could have had seven rings, with a 5-peat.

We were not good enough in 2012, take that off.
