View Full Version : Kawhi Leonard on His Missed Free Throws
"I felt calm [at the free throw line]," Leonard said. "The first one just rattled out a little bit. But I was confident and knocked down the second one.
"I just tried to put it behind me and just went out and tried to win the game in overtime."
Love the mentality of this kid.
He's a warrior. No way this is on him. He was a beast tonight, and after missing that FT, he came out in OT and didn't let it ruin him. I'm glad he's still talking that way, because he's got nothing to hang his head about.

how about that TP's missed FT.
all FTs are important.
if Kawhi didn't miss 1 Spurs won the game, no matter if they can shot a 3 or not
big opportunity to close out, missed the chance

Good. He's not letting this loss get to him.
If the Spurs are drained cause of this game, they are toast. Glad to see Kawhi is looking forward.

He may be our best player Thursday, young as he is and with the ability to put things behind him.
Loved his game tonight sans the free throw. That was a ton of pressure. The one blown free throw was on Manu. He could have put the Spurs up six. He lost the game in so many ways last night.

i knew he was gonna miss it. i swear to u, i told everyone in the bar, "he's gonna miss one". he's shot shitty freethrows all series. 63% is NOT a good percentage. at that point, i would have had bonner, green, neal, and parker in the game while duncan inbounded. i swear i was screaming he would miss it, but i'm not blaming it on him cuz he shouldn't have been in the game. he played great in OT. got some good buckets, but fukin ginobli kept turning the fukin ball over and flopping. man the refs aint calling that shit so fukin cut it out.
He was awesome last night. I don't blame it at all for that one missed free throws.

Manu has not go 2/2 at the line for the whole season.
Leonard is shooting(fts) well below his average in the finals.

he lost his dad, I'm pretty sure a freaking missed FT is not going to derail him
he is one of the big reason we were in that position anyway
