How can you be nonexistent in the fourth quarter of a finals closing game? I know he played great prior to the 4th but why didn't this "goat" PF step up? Did the pressure get to him? Was that shitty Miami bigs rotation too much? He had a chance to cement his legacy and close it out but didn't do shit tbh
Meanwhile 2011 dirk who started 1-12 in game 6 scored 10 points in the 4th and actually showed up

Lost momentum because he didn't start the 4th quarter and the Spurs started scrambling for offense.. Parker took it upon himself to try to big them out of the grave.. They didn't post him enough..

I can't see him replicating what he did in game 7. He was legendary for 3 quarters.

Hopefully the others show up as well as Parker, despite his 19 points his jump shot wasn't falling.. Manu was garbage.. If they show up and share the load they'll be fine..

lol @ comparing the performances of a 32 year old with a 37 year old. Will Dirk even play a NBA Finals game at 37? Hell, will he even still be in the league at that point?

Who faded into the history books along with the rest of the Dallas Mavericks as a one-and-done title team.

Can't put this one on Duncan. He kinda knew he'd be out of gas in the 2nd half so he pushed all his chips in in the 1st--hoping his teammates would pick up the slack after halftime. They failed him though, most notably Manu--he shamed himself, his team, his fanbois, and his country.

In the book of players legacies in the NBA
Dirk is a footnote and Duncan will be a whole chapter..

Duncan had like 2 post touches in the 2nd half, tbh..
He can't beat Miami in pick&rolls, they swarm him when he catches it too high, yet Pop and Parker kept putting him in that situation:lol..

Dirk? I thought he was still being benched for not being in shape, after they won the title...? That's what ill always remember about Dirk. The definition of "one and done."

I actually think Tim will play better in Game 7. Hopefully Tony and Manu will join him.

lol this is some of the dumbest trolling ever. Being in a position to choke away the 5th ring in a career is so far above having Cuban waste away the final years of your 1 ring career that I'm not sure why I'm even responding.

lolwut? If you guys end up losing on Thursday then Game 6 will be the most bitter pill to swallow in NBA history. Years from now nobody will remember anything else from 2013 except Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

This. No one gives a shit about winning against trash teams like the cavs, nets. No one gives a fuck about winning in a lockout season either and no one gives a fuck about winning against the "great fucking defensive pistons" who spurfan likes to talk up when in reality they couldn't score.
The first real finals opponent Duncan has faced he wilted. That's it and that's all.

30 pts and 17 rebs not enough from a starting center - much less a 37 year old one? And Duncan's legacy is already cemented - GOAT PF.

Blaming Duncan for this loss in any capacity is as silly as blaming Dirk for the '06 Finals debacle, in which Dirk missed a couple huge FTs in two different games and had 2 4th quarter points on 0-3 shooting in game 6 of that series. Dirk had 27 points going into the 4th, much like Duncan had 30. I always hate it when a player has a big first half or 3 quarters, because you know the entire defense of the opposing team is going to prioritize that player, putting the pressure on the role players to step up in the 4th. If Manu and Parker simply play up to par, the Spurs are celebrating 5 right now.
Basically, Manu and Parker were the equivalent of Howard and Terry.
And like Harlem mentioned, Parker went hero mode and didn't even look for Duncan in the post.

Duncan owned last night. He blew his wad offensively in the first half but got a ton of boards and played stout D throughout. Dude isn't 25 anymore, we can't ask him to do everything.
