View Full Version : If we win game 7..will Duncan be Finals MVP?

Before game 6, it seemed a lock that it would be either Parker or Green but after Duncan put up 30 and 17, I think that put him back in play. Especially with Green going 1-7 in that game. If Duncan puts up another 20 and 10 tonight and finishs the Finals averaging a double/double at roughly 18 and 11...thats pretty damn good. I would love to see us win tonight, first and foremost but I would also love to see Duncan get his 4th Finals MVP and solidify himself as a Top 5 Player Of All Time.

Nobody gives a shit at this point.

But if anyone can play big in game 7 then that should count triple, I don't care if it's a scrub, if it's Bonner, anyone will do tbh.

He is at 18 and 12 a game on 50% right now. If he plays well tonight maybe..

I'd take Nando as Finals MVP if it meant the Spurs win Game 7 tbh.

On some express news guys twitter, said he asked around and the answer was yes Duncan, but that was during the 4th qtr of game 6, so take that for what its worth, idk. If Green has a big game tonight, no doubt it has to be him, just my opinion though

Essentially a three way tie between Green, Duncan and Parker at this point. A Spurs win and the award goes to whomever out of those 3 had the best game.

Green deserves votes if he has a big game but I strongly doubt he will get any. May be looking at a co MVP vote between TP and 21 or close to it, a la 2005 Manu and TD.

Who gives a shit? Just win the game and avoid arguably the biggest joke job in NBA Finals history. I don't want that black cloud looming over this franchise for the rest of my days.

Duncan 18pts 12 rbds 1.5 blk (9 blks)

Parker 16pts 6 assts

Kawhi 13.8 pts 10 rbds

Green 16pts 4 rbds 1.7 blk (10 blocks)

I am not talking MVP (we have not won yet), but :wow like Duncan, a double-double for Kawhi his stoic partner :tu

I just want them ALL to have a good game. I will support whoever gets the FMVP. JUST WIN.

I'd give the FMVP to whoever wins us this game today, even if it's Lebron with a crucial TO in the last 10 seconds to lead to a game-winner, tbh.

I just want that 5th.

You think if the Spurs can win this year, Kawhi can finally smile in the championship photos? or
during the championship locker room celebration ? :lmao

Sadly the Heat have their clear cut MVP...Otherwise we could hope for too much heroballing from Wade.

Not that I'm saying it will be a problem for us.

Largely depends on go shows up the biggest tonight between Duncan Parker and green. Or Leonard. Since its essentially a 4 way tie so whoever has the best game tonight. But first things first. Lets do this ish

The media is itching to give it to LBJ. As long as he doesn't completely choke tonight, he'll get it, win or lose ... unless Tim has another unbelievable night.

If we win, I'm sure Kawhis celebration will include clapping a few times, a fist pump and a half smile. Then he will walk to the lockerroom and then go home and get ready for next year.

I think that all the spurs players would vote for Tim to get it.

Like most people here, I just don't care...as long as it is some Spur.
