And you all know what happened there.

Lots of positivity and hope, all pissed away in a rape fest.

That's a good metaphor for game 6. Tonight is San Jacinto.

Which would make this an unfortunate comparison for game 7.

It would make more sense if the Spurs lost tonight's game but went on to win several more NBA championships, but that's just highly doubtful.

Perhaps we should take a less San Antonio/Texan-centric version of events under consideration and view the seige and Battle of the Alamo as a holdout influenced by greedy imperialists intent on adding to their own wealth and prestige, while the Mexican army fought to protect and hold on to what they had earned.

Then maybe?

Did your man let you weakly crawl out of bed to summon the guard to take to the infirmary where you could make this post while the nurse wasn't looking? Just don't try to sit down and it won't hurt so much.

So you're saying the Mexicans (Spurs fans) will win?

Game 6 was the memorable, gut wrenching loss where our heroes became legends (thus the Alamo comparison). Game 7 is where we now come back (and having caused the enemy to expend far more resources than they would have wanted) and win this war.
