I'm the biggest kawhi fan in here i think, but why-why is a legit second option at best IMO.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance that he becomes the second or third option next season though. He's proven it. No more 6-8 touches a game. He deserves every bit of shot he wants to take.

Not next year, but in 3-4 years I see him being a consummate All-Star so that's doable then.

Yeah I can't see him being THE guy. Super excited about his future though.

He needs to work on his jumper but his ball handling and driving/slashing as well. I'd love to see him as the obvious third option.

So you guys think he'll still be behind Tony and Tim?

he needs to further develop his outside shot and dribble penetration. his post game is superb. he's also an open court monster.

He's young, he'll do that this off-season. This will leave a sour taste in Kawhi. He's a great competitor. He was this close to the Finals, he wants it! He will work so hard this off-season and will be much improved next year!

Is Timmy coming back next year? And if so he'll be 38 years old.

He's already a good shooter, ball handler and very good athlete. If he takes the next step to a very good shooter, he will be a franchise player

Hard to say how good Kawhi will be, but he was a beast in this series (against the best). He is still progressing off the charts. Really looking forward to his future. He is a huge reason why the Spurs will be able to compete again next year.

Kawhi is not a legitimate second option. he doesnt have NEARLY the ball handling or court vision or shot creation or to be a second option. if he continues to grow on his current trajectory he'll be the teams undisputed third option next year.

He is the future but he is going to need some help Green is not that help. But I think he still has another season before he really starts running things.

Any links or anything? This is so huge for me I just don't want to react pre-maturely. I need this after the heartbraking loss.

I think he will be an all-star next season. He will be the third best player on the team and have second most production on the team.

He drastically improved from year 1 to year 2, and I have no doubt he'll drastically improve from year 2 to year 3 again. He'll be great next year!

Its unrealistic to expect him to keep making quantum leaps in his development. The Olympics will surely help tho.

Why? He's 21 years old and he's a really hard worker.

He's not quite at the level of a 2nd option player but I think legit 3rd option is a very good possibility. I'd be thrilled if he can go from 12/6 this year to something along the lines of 14-15pts/7-8rbds next year. With an off season to work on his game and Pop giving him more touches and running more plays for him, I don't think that's too unreasonable.
