Respect for my Spurs. they didn't get blown out after Lebron, Battier and co made shot after shot. goddam what a shooting display by the heat. any other team would have gotten blown out of the arena. And spurs were just right there.
pretty commendable IMO.
Hater is pleased. Good going Spurs.
good fight. :tu :tu :tu
what u gonna do, lot of things went wrong and Spurs almost almost were right there.

We're still a better team than the Heat, tbh. Real champs don't need to rely on chokejobs to win a title. Luck was just on their side.

That was a hell of a game. Props to the Spurs for their effort.

I'm really proud of them tbh
that was a fucking shooting lights out show and still, we were 1 Kawhi 3 or 1 Duncan putback from the Ship!!
nothing else to say about it. sure you can blame individual players and shit. But hater don't do that on a game 7
nobody should blame anyone on a game 7 especially if the team didn't get blown out. Love our guys and loved the game.
we were close and it was just not meant to be. I will be a spur fan for years to come because of this game.
Hater is here to stay bitches

I thought this very same thing earlier...then I remembered the spurs shot 15 fts in the first half...was the nba doing it's best to keep it close?

The Spurs were an incredible team this year. Return everyone next year and see if Tim has another season of elite play left in the tank, let's see what happens.

Normally I would go with "Spurs in 7 :lmao"...
But my bolivarian friend is spot on with the overall sentiment... this Spurs team did not disappoint...
Man, don't know how these guys were even in the game when Miami was raining threes all night and we couldn't hit shit.
Proud of the team. They spilled their guts out.

Even Manu, who once again shit the bed, was at least hustling. Better than game 6, but then how could you not.
The guys played their best, but I think Pop let them down. I never believed all the panic shit, but I think 2011 was the first where I started to see it. SO that hurts the most imho.

Miami probably got close to beating our record for most threes in a finals game. They were going insane! So proud of the Spurs for sticking in the game

True, but he had to be spelled in 03 and 05 man!!!!!!!! He is not a guy you rely on to win a title as a leader IMO! He is a great player! BUT he is not Tim in his prime.

No reason not to be proud of your Spurs. It took a ridiculous player at the peak of his powers to barely scrape by. Duncan showed why he's a legend. The loss hurts now, but eventually the pain will fade & you'll appreciate the trophies you did win. Infinitely better than Phx Suns or Orlando ville.
It's not about moral victories. It's about knowing they left it on the floor. They did that tonight.
I'll always root for the Spurs, win or lose. All I ask is that they compete, that they put it all out there.

They made all the shots to hang in there, I thought that kawhi 3 was for sure going in to steal the game

Everyone was wrong about the Spurs.
At the start of the season, everyone had us not making the Finals. Wrong.
At the start of the playoffs, everyone had us not making the Finals. Wrong.
Many had us losing to Golden State. Wrong.
Many had us losing to Memphis. Wrong.
Many had us getting swept by Miami. Wrong.
Many had us getting blown out in game 6. Wrong.
Many had us getting blown out in game 7. Wrong.
Despite not winning the championship, everyone was wrong. And frankly, they should have won the championship, and everyone knows it. Miami was lucky to get out of game 6 alive.
We'll be back next year.

Had they not gone insane from 3 (no one even challenging) we probably win that game too.

Spurs hung in despite shooting 38% from the field and LeBron in God Mode. I'd say pretty impressive.

I don't know. I mean EVERYTHING was going wrong for Spurs and still they were right there. It easily could have been an epic beatdown IMO
IMO an epic beatdown would have been a lot more painful. spurs showed heart. That counts for something IMO

Good point.
I think historically, the road team doesn't keep it close in Game 7.
And it took the biggest fluke shooting game of Battier's career to pull it off for the Heat.

It isn't outstanding at all.
We should have beaten the Heat because we have been better than the Heat the whole time imo. The only year the Heat have ever been without argument better than us was the year we tanked to get Duncan. We're not talking about an all time great franchise or team. They have LeBron James, that's why they're good. Before that, they were only good the one year they had a healthy Shaq.
I'm not going to be proud we didn't get blown out by a team I know we were at least as good as if not better than. I will only look back on this with disappointment because we should've won.

You didn't watch in '10 when the Celtics lead for most of game 7?
