In beating San Antonio, the Heat did something the Spurs could never do: REPEAT

The closest the Spurs got to repeating was in 2008 when they lost to the Lakers and their rapist in the WCF.

The Heat repeating doesn't even register on the hurt radar right.

Doesn't hurt, tbh... Miami is a special team... talented as fuck... wouldn't surprise me at all if they go on to win it all next season...

Spurs chances to repeat ended in the 2003-2008 era...

Back to backs are nice and cool but overrated.

Although I will say Spurs could have at least 6 championships under their belt if they had won at least a back to back.

Them Lakers were just too stacked at the time of prime Duncan so back to backs were impossible for any other teams not named Lakers.

Repeating's always been an invented criteria. Always been talked about like it's a great accomplishment by fans of teams who have done it, never talked about by anyone else.

The game 6 loss for me was right up there with wide right. Ugh.

Ugh indeed. I'm still convinced my cynicism stems from that moment

Nobody gives a shit about repeating, I'm pretty sure most of the hurt comes from having game 6 sealed then fumbling it away at the goal line Leon Lett style...

I don't mind Deadly giving us shit. He knows what heartbreak feels like being a Bills fan (as do you).

4 straight Superbowls and couldn't scratch once. To get a fanbase's hopes up after wide right 3 straight times is fuckin' cruel.

disagree.. no one was beating Boston in 2008. Not even LA with healthy Bynum...

spurs cant repeat, when u have the same 2 fkn oxymorons choking when the game and series on the line....

ginoboli and parker all have hands in those failed years, whether disappearing after team adjustments or just injuries...

Spurs 3-peated in odd-numbered years though, would've been 5 peat had they won 01'
