Those postgame interviews are depressing as hell.

Hell of a ride ........... but damn.

It was right there in their hands: the riverboats were gassed up, the Larry O'Brien was literally being brought to Tim Duncan, the most amazing championship was won. And then it wasn't.

Damn.

It hurts. Especially for Timmy and Kawhi, who were the only one who didn't shit in pants in those 7 games. I wanted this so much because Timmy deserved it more than anybody... :cry

I was trying to keep my cool watching the game with my college roommate(who is a LeBron fan). Hurts like hell, now I know how some older sports fans feel when they tell stories of heartbreaks they've experienced.

Dem feels.

But it happens. It's happened to so many teams. Finally happened to us. BFD. Every half-smart Spurs fan has acknowledged the bits and pieces of luck that were parts of every Spurs run.
8 seed overaccomplishing and making finals in 99
Dirk's knee in 03
Mavs getting bounced by warriors in 07

Lakers 02, Vlade tipping the ball straight to Horry
etc
etc
etc

It happens.

Would it have been easier to accept a blowout loss in Game 6, but the same close Game 7 result?

game 6 was game 7 no matter what. you don't win game 7 on the road. i'm glad our guys competed hard in game 6 and almost won it. it showed we were the better team, miami was just blessed by the old gods and the new. the 'no headband miracle' was just unreal.

i haven't even watched the Green one yet. I watched the DUncan video, I thought it was painful but maybe not as bad as imagined. But then I watched a low res version, maybe it's worse in high def. It seemed as quiet as a museum in there, shows the respect for Duncan.

I saw only a couple of seconds of Duncan's postgame interview before deciding not to watch them. As tough this loss is for Spurs fans, it's 10 times harder for the players/coaching staff. They gave everything and were so close to win it all and, at the end, they ended up empty. I'm just sad fro them.

Pop robbed Duncan. He should have let him decide his own fate. Maybe the Spurs should try petitioning the league to redo the end of game 6 since they illegally substituted Duncan.

I don't blame Game 6 on Pop. Well, at least not the rebounding.

Up 3 key is guard the 3. Not corral the rebound, not protect the rim for the two, but to run people off the line to prevent a tie. The dipshit who allowed Allen to get free and wide open had an epic brainfart. Who cares if Bosh grabs the board, as long as all options and outlets are covered. They weren't, because someone (I'm going to guess Manu) lost his man running after the rebound and allowed Allen to slip away.

Situation was worlds apart from Indiana, where a two was needed and Vogel took out his best rim protector. This was all about defending the three and the 'speed' team he put out there failed miserably in doing so.

Apart from being really, really good, a team has to be very, very lucky to win a ring. This series opened my eyes and made me appreciate that we still have four rings. Those cannot be taken away from us. Ever.

It was Parker who went away from Allen to try and take the ball away from Bosh. And yes, it was an epic brainfart.

Guys, at the end of the day we are so lucky to feel these emotions. I'd rather be disappointed cos' we lost in game 7 (and I am) than being a fan of any other NBA franchise. I have been a Spurs fan since 1998 (my first game -in Madison Square Garden- wass Spurs vs Knicks...) and I am quite happpy about this. I would not swap for any other team. Thanks for the joys, the tears are part of what makes it a great adventure. The fun is not over.

Greg Popovich sits Duncan & Parker in Game-6 Crunch time…Then in game -7, last play of the series he sits Tony Parker again, leaving turnover prone Manu Ginobili as the only ball handler…And Spurs Fans have the audacity to make fun of Mike D Antoni?
Coach Popovich is an arrogant and stubborn man and cost the Spurs the 2013 Championship!
