Only team they will have to contend with in the West is OKC and maybe Clippers depending on Garnett and Doc. As far as Miami they are not a shoe in for next year. Indiana will be a bad f'ing team next year and if Derrick Rose is back Chicago can push them too. DWade obviously has some health issues and Bosh is a mental case.

I'm looking forward to 2013-2014 season. I want Pop to give Kawhi the green light to do what ever he wants. If Kawhi can learn become a better dribbler and finisher that dude is going to be a beast. There is no reason to believe he cant be a 20 points, 12 rebounds, 5 steals guy. OH and also the premier perimeter defender in the league.

Thanks man. I've been coaching basketball for years and I can easily spot those guys that have special ability. Kawhi with his build was to identify. This is going to sound stupid but I can also tell by the way they walk. Not sure what exactly I noticed about walk but when I see it I can identify it and alway eager to get on my team. I have this kid on my middle school team that reminds me so much of kawhi. I hope this kid continues to grow in length. Now when he is on the court he is such a huge disrupter on the defensive side. It's amazing how one player like this can change
the game.
On a side note. I wrote my original post on 6-21-13. The next day 6-22-13 I met the woman of my dreams. We were together for almost a year and a half before she passed away. Fcuukkkkk this hurts. I need to get drunk.

Don't you also love how people cherry pick which of their posts to bump? I'd never do it, but some do.

Someone on another board said they were getting dressed to go celebrate in SA and everyone was in glee, then that happened and ruined lots of nights :( I remember it well.

Honestly I didnt have high hopes all year, especially after the way 2012 ended, but when Manu grabbed the ball and started running up court........everything just hit me, it was the first time all year I actually thought the Spurs were going to win the championship. It was such a friggin high that even 2014 didnt even match. It was like holy fuck its actually friggin happenning!!!!!!
And after all that shit went down my brother who was a Patriots fan said "now you know how I feel", because the Spurs were have equally bad luck in the postseason as New England.
And oddly enough after the Spur won it last year, I just knew the Patriots were going to break through also (unfortunately, I hate them but it felt like it was only a matter of time).

I agree there fully, when they got behind by a few in that game after leading 10 heading into the 4th I said well it was nice but they were not going to win that game nor the title IMO, Miami roared back and I thought that was it. Then Tony hits the three and then the steal and layup! I was like maybe they can do it? Then Manu grabs the ball on the run and I said man they are going to actually pull this off! I was shocked and elated. I did not think they could win that title against Mighty Miami but they were there.
2014 Matched it though for me personally being they came back and got revenge, that was one of the best titles I have witnessed from the Spurs and the run was VERY fun to watch. The Pats fan I can agree on as well, they had to feel the same way after getting beat by the Giants knowing they could or should have won both those bowls and a lucky play got in the way of that, had to suck.
Pats won as well this year, correct. That is ironic being those two teams are compared the most and it's been quite some time since either won and playoff failtures were the norm for years on end meaning blown titles and back door sweeps etc. (Miami 013 and OKC 012). New England both Superbowls they went to against the Giants. What would have been fitting is if they beat NY in the Superbowl for revenge, that would be exactly the same.
