Now I'm not saying people won't occasionally give it ojo, but you live and die with your family and Manu always will be part of ours.

Go Spurs Go.

2014 season starts in just over four months.

Uh, duh?

What does that have to do with the fact that his 2013 finals performance as a whole was atrocious, especially given the expectations that come with being part of the "big 3?"

Obviously his jersey will be in the rafters when he retires. So will Tim and Tony's jerseys.

Tony had a mediocre finals series and awful game 6/7 performances. His jersey will also be in the rafters. So what?

Of course. He just needs to retire ASAP or play for the veteran's minimum. Nobody will ever forget his contributions in winning three championships but his reputation and legacy will only be tainted the longer he stays on the court. He's done.

Christ jestersmash, calm down. Sometimes people need to be reminded of the obvious.

I'd delete the thread if it would ease your butthurt.

It's not like he wasn't trying. Yeah he sucked overall in this series but you cannot deny that he played his heart out. He's just deteriorated with age. Nothing wrong with that, just part of the game of basketball.

I wish you guys would show more appreciation for the dedication and passion Manu had in this finals. I know if he was even a 10th of the player he used to be (he didn't really that now), he would have played to the best of his ability to win us that ring.

Yeah it would. Go ahead and delete it. Nobody cares about your inane, non-insight.

Tbh, 46 posts is a little early to call my insight inane.

I'm one of the more patient and optimistic posters you will find on this board.

Of course 46 posts is a little early to declare myself as such, but then again I didn't troll an obviously good intentioned thread.

Good day. Err. .morning.See you around the forums.

Of couse we will? I know we have tunnel vision right now cause of how poorly he played in the Finals, but Manu's done so much for this franchise. Won us a Ship. Easily the most entertaining player in franchise history imo. And he was drafted 57th overall... needless to say what he's done has been remarkable and far exceeded anyone and everyone's expectations. He'll be in the hall one day and his #20 hanging high in the rafters.

yeah. even though if the mf got his azz kicked in a fight tomorrow that lands him in the hospital, i'd be all for it, but i think he deserves to have his number retired.

His Finals performance insured that there'll be enough room in the rafters to hang it.

Manu will always be one of my favorite spurs. The finals performance doesn't change that.

He just needs to stop the bullshit of driving to basket, jumping under the basket when he has no shot & forcing a kick out pass when nothing is there but a fkin defender. The whole league sees this shit & will let him continue to do this.

I hope you're not denigrating Bruce. We have needed him for years. Leonard finally came along to fill the role, but Bowen was special. My favorite Spur of all time, really...

Even the bowtie wearin' Bruce of today wouldn't have let Allen hit that 3.

... at least not without making sure he came down squarely on Bowen's foot.

I miss Bruce on this team. :(
