Why?! They're both done. Garnett can't move, and Pierce can't make shots because he can no longer get separation.

Just foolish.

This is cap-neutral for the Cs in the short term, and bad 2 years from now when Wallace is still getting 8 figures despite already looking more washed up than Pierce. It's also a significant downgrade in talent this year and an absolute slap in the face to the fans. Is 3 firsts worth all that? We'll see.

Joyrider

Aren't Humpries and Wallace expiring? They'll have a huge amount of cap in the summer of 2014 when Lebron goes on the market.

So if those two teams swap that much of their rosters, does that mean that ultimately the Los Angeles Clippers are the Boston Celtics, the Boston Celtics are the New York Nets, and the Brooklyn Nets are the Buffalo Braves? Who cuts the retirement check to Dolph Schayes? Do the Celtics retire #32 for Kevin McHale or Doctor J? Do they have to send a cut of their TV money to St. Louis?

Nets receive: Garnett, Pierce, Terry

Celtics receive: Wallace, Humphries, Bogans, Evans, Shengalia, 3 first round picks

This might be a great deal for both sides. The Celtics get rid of their old players and take back minimal contracts. Then they can tank properly, pray they get Wiggins next year, and have ample cap space for 2014. The Nets dump their terrible players and upgrade their roster for an all or nothing shot at the title. Lopez/KG/Pierce/Johnson/Williams with Terry coming off the bench. That's pretty insane. I doubt they would even reach the ECF but it's still a shot. If they fail, Pierce and Garnett's contracts expire anyways so they aren't on the hook for large salaries. Only thing is, the Nets might be spending some time in the lottery if they can't win it all next year and those traded draft picks will come back and haunt them.

Grizz got swept and they lost their coach. How r they not going to be worse?

They dont have cap room for anything.

Indiana was r toughest matchup n they get Danny Granger back. Bulls get Rose back. How is the West improving other then Howard to Houston?

Well, considering you didn't pair the teams up with their seedings, I'd say most of them.

WHat a jump from, doc rivers to jkidd lol

so what will this ultimately do for the nets? probably get to the 2nd round, possibly but not likely ECF. No Title though, lets not kidd ourselves

How the hell do Deron, Pierce, and Johnson play together on offense? They're all ball dominant isolation players.

Does that even matter? They don't have seedings they haven't played any games. I arranged them into what the seedings'll probably be imo. I don't think Roy Hibbert can turn it on for the whole season so they'll get a higher seed again. Nets I just threw up there. I don't think they'll actually be the 3rd seed. Old ass AARP team. Actually looking at this I have no fucking clue how 3rd-8th are gonna end up in the East.

The Rockets should be in there too if they can get Dwight.

As of now though pretty obvious that the tops of the East > the West.

Nets playing for the short term.

On the bright side, I don't think this team loses to the Bulls without Rose. :lol Only problem is, he's back next year and Indy is still a threat.

Paul looked washed up most of the year... as did KG. Hopefully they along with Coach Kidd can motivate D-Will who USED to be better than Rondo but has fallen off since leaving Mormon country.

This Nets team barely had a bench last year as is. Now they have whatever's left of Jet and that's it.

Dunno. A lot of "ifs."

LOL Zach Randolph. The Nets are full of WINNERS. What have the Grizz won again? :lol SWEPT :lol

The Knicks = Clips. Both lost to overrated teams. Knicks are closer to being a championship team than DeMonkeyball.

Lol Warriors. Jumpshooting team. Got away with 100 illegal screens from Bogut and still couldn't beat the Spurs. Pacers in the playoffs would punish them.

Yeah. I guess. Also, if LeBron doesn't go off, they don't win. It's fucking basketball... people get hot.

Zach Randolph got to the finals.. This team is green with a first year head coach. Suspect and you're basing things off potential. Remember the Lakers?

Warriors still get hot and are a tough team to baet.

Oh no, you misunderstood. Bulls blow out the Spurs, it's only close if Danny Green gets hot.

Rose tires out Tony Parker.

Deng and Kawhi cancel out.

Noah cancels out Jim.

Boozer and Tiago rub vagasil on each other all game.

Zach Randolph got carried tbh. Dark ass nigga didn't do shit vs the Spurs. His only great year was a contract year. Fat ass fuck won't never amount to anything. (Especially with KG in his head. If Tiago could shut down this pussy, imagine what Garnett would do)

Warriors are a jump shooting team so by definition they're in every game they play. It just won't happen. Indiana wins 60/100 games vs them.

The Bulls have the kind of championship toughness that you just can't manufacture in the West these days. Heart. Determination. Bulls Basketball.

You'll see next year. I'm known in my local circles as the soothsayer. Siri calls me Nostradamus.

the nets seem to have half of the world's shittiest contracts so swapping some of them for two huge expiring contracts shouldn't be a bad move for them. It'll end up saving them $ when Pierce and KG come off the book before long, getting rid of anything like Humphris, Gerald Wallace or Joe Johansson should always be a good move for this team tbh

Tbh the bulls shit was a joke, read the rest of my posts. I'm a San Antonio Heat fan.

The WINNERS thing was a joke, but I still thought the Nets would be the biggest threat to the Heat. I stand by the rest of my post. Clippers/Knicks both suck. Grizzlies won't do anything. Pacers gonna punish niggas in the playoffs.

It's still incredibly early. D-Will has been hurt all season and that is huge. Despite that, they are only 2 games out of the playoffs with a ton of games left. Still plenty of time to recover. They won't be great obviously, but could still be a top 5 playoff team in the East. But not exactly good for what they gave up.

Many thought Boston was smart for getting those picks. They didn't get any basketball talent, but the picks were good.

And tbh, the Nets were never supposed to be a team that was gonna tear up the regular season. Who would actually try to extrapolate their regular season performance into the playoffs? High pace offenses win regular season games, teams that can execute in the half court win championships. (Cue all the LOL CLIPPERS posts that have popped up after their pathetic playoff exits the last 2 years)

The whole wild card was injuries and Jason Kidd. Both haven't hit.

Tbh, I assumed it went without saying. Apparently I needed to say it. (It makes zero sense to think that old men would dominate the regular season. My post was seeding matchups...)

Here's an off shoot of that prediction I'll put on paper. The Spurs are the only real title contender in the West. If the Rockets/Thunder/Clippers manage to get hot and fluke their way past the Spurs--they'd all lose 4-1 to the Heat/Pacers.

The Lakers had Kobe. That balances it all out.

(Not to mention the Lakers missing key players also...Farmar was killing it and Blake was solid)
