Just sayin, but Diaw still hasn't picked up his option which I find kind of odd. Could be something there we don't know? Doubt it but still weird.

He will. Pretty sure he wants to stay here with Parker and his chances of that are better if he waits until after the draft to pick up his option so he doesn't get traded.

espn did a players draft where a player from each team made the pick. Bonner made ours and took Nate Wolters (haven't seen too much about him on here?)

28. Nate Wolters, G, South Dakota State

Selected by: Matt Bonner

"At the point guard spot, Wolters seems capable of doing a little bit of everything: He can facilitate, score and shoot from the perimeter," Bonner says of the Jackrabbits senior, who averaged 22.3 points, 5.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds and led the Summit League in PER (32.0), assist percentage (34.3), points per game (22.3), offensive rating (126.9) and win shares (8.6) last season. "To make it this far from a place like South Dakota State, I'm sure he has a crazy work ethic, too, and that fits right in with the Spurs way -- everybody doing everything they can to help the team win."

Not sure the route the Spurs go, but this could be an interesting Draft night.

Several possible trades, tons of teams trying to get lower in the draft or out of it all together, star players possibly on the move (LA, KG, Pierce, Deng, ect). Could be an interesting night. My picks: Crabbe, Muscala, or Snell.

I'd be thrilled to get Dieng or Wolters. Knowing the Spurs, if either of these two are still on the board by #28 then I definitely think they'll snatch them up. That said, if they aren't...then were probably going to go with that Livean-Jean Charles guy from France and stash him overseas.

I think the Spurs porbably have a list. I think they'd love to take some of the athletic wings too like Muhammed, Franklin, Kerasev, etc, but none of them will probably be available.

My prediction: A big man. It'll either be Dieng (if he's still there) Muscala (he'll be there but he's soft...) Plumlee (please god yes) or Rudy fucking Gobert (He's a stick. No athletic ability whatsoever.)

Don't like Erick Green at all. He was the leading scorer on a bad team at Virginia Tech. He's also undersized, not athletic, and not a pure point guard. Hope we don't go full retard and draft a Green, Cannan, or some other small ass ball hog guard. Jesus that would be terrible. The last thing we need.

I have no faith at all that the Spurs could end up with Dieng, but that would be amazing.

And for those who are interested in Goodwin, why exactly? I watched several UK games last season, and he seems like the very definition of selfish, immature chucker. He has driving ability, but he turns it over like a mofo, and looks for contact instead of finishing. We already have Manu to fill that role.

I don't like him either.

Its not that I dont like him. Looking at the last season I believe the Spurs have bigger needs.
IMO, I would try to pick a SG/SF that can handle the ball a little.

I guy that could play the 2 with Cojo and specially with Manu, so he doesnt have to run the offense by himself.
A guy that could replace Green or Kiwi if needed, and could play with both of them. Even a small lineup with Cojo-Manu-Pick.

Last season, every time Kiwi and Green were on the bench the team looked bad, not aggresive. Thats what I would try to solve with the pick...
And Im not asking a lot, just a guy that attacks the rim and can handle the ball a little.

I could see Spurs drafting another frenchie at #28 with Gobert or Jean-Charles. If Gobert slips and is available at #28, he would be a very nice gamble. Jean-Charles attitude is screaming he has received some kind of promise But I hope it isn't Spurs because i don't like his upside.

At #58, it would be a random draft and stash player. Spurs are kinda short on roster spots for next season so it seems the logical way to go.

Honestly, I don't see either of those guys dropping anywhere near us at 28. Nogueira's size and athleticism are too great for even the dumbest teams to ignore. Mitchell seems ready to play and make an impact now too, which means every winning team who doesn't already have 3-4 legit bigs are gonna be looking at him.

I'd love to have either guy to replace Splitter, but we aren't gonna get them unless we trade up imo.

The guys below are rated as "Bust" by Wow... interesting... quite a few names on the bust list that people would love for us to draft. Seeing as I believe in such statistical models, (I'm a numbers person) we don't want any of these for our pick.I'd like to see a link to their methodology if that's available. For one example, I don't know how much weight could be realistically given to stats for a guy like Glen Rice Jr. before, say, February of this season. His numbers from there through the D-League finals are pretty impressive and a decent sample size on its own.
