His son was convicted of murder and sentenced to 60 years in the prison yard, tbh. Does this make Nick a killer by association since he raised this killer son?

I am not sure myself.

Dude forfeited his duty of being a good parent and a good role model to his kid, but you don't legally punish him because there're too many parents in this country who're just like him, and there's no such law that rules any penalty for being a bad parent.
