But it doesn't take a genius to see that Bryant is simply a volume shooter. He's never shot higher than 46.9% in any given year, even with the MDE in his prime, a guy who was doubled on EVERY possession. Dwight realizes that he doesn't make anybody else better, and it's hilarious to me that Laker fans haven't been able to figure this out yet. Bryant's just a flashy player who has the green light to take any bad shot he wants. And he certainly does.

Look, at the end of the day, Kobe's position requires enormous athleticism and he ran out of it. In 2010, when we beat the Celtics, I had a small gathering of friends over and I told them,"This is the last championship for the Lakers in a loooong while, and definitley Kobe's last." By no means am I a basketball expert or anything, I just thought it was obvious that Kobe's body had taken a beating over the years and he was about to fizz out.
