The majority of stars / and star coaches have quit on their team. Lets go down the list...

Cp3
Lebron
Melo
Dwill
D12
Chris Bosh
KG
Pau
Kobe (demanded trade)
Phil
Doc

Only Duncan has not been traded, demanded a trade and ran away via free agency. This is fact. Phil quit on his team twice, and Rivers has now joined the quitters club.

*wade technically didnt quit, but he was good as gone if they didnt sign LeBron.

I personally think Duncan was trying to get traded (passive aggressive shit) by getting that tramp stamp. He figured no Texas franchise would want a faggot as their franchise player. He thought wrong :lol.

You had a good point until I read Phil on that list. If there is anyone you should take off that list is Phil. Phil had cancer in 2011 and as a favor to Jerry decided to not retire. He knew his time was up and probably the teams and wanted to pass it over to B. Shaw.

On top of that, despite being geriatric and old now, he was willing to start all over again with this mess of a Laker team this year. Exactly how did Phil Jackson quit?

Simmons is skating on thin ice. Doc is very well liked and very well respected. Simmons is a writer - who may have a very short career as an on-air personality.

2004. Or do you give the blame to Kobe for running him off?

At least Simmons calls what he sees and doesnt just blinded spit the ESPN mantra. Plus, doc has one ring with a stacked team and lebron trapped in cleveland. Spoelstra has more rings than him.

But hes in Boston so his accomplishments are graded on the big market curve / east coast bias.

I don't think he plans to comeback... he doesn't like it anyway.

Yup. I think he'll be the next Skip Bayless/Stephen A Smith for ESPN, he'll be the "bad boy" that's calling everyone out and who speaks his mind while others try to be nice. Bill will be more of a joker than an actual analyst, imo. I enjoyed his meltdowns during the draft, especially when he found out that Boston is actually gonna move Pierce and KG for Gerald fuckin' Wallace :lol

Magic, Jalen and the rest are about to do a freeze-out on Simmons come fall. They didn't like him before and now it's going to be twice as bad. Doc is like Obama. He's well liked and you don't mess with him.

uhm Simmons went from being a local writer, to Page 2 at ESPN, to coming up with the wildly successful 30 for 30 idea, and now he helms his own side page at Grantland. I'm pretty sure he isn't going anywhere.
