He's old, slow, and can't jump anymore. He'll probably take a lot of facials.

lol this attention faggot is going to be rewarded... no chance he'd get signed if he wasn't gay.

Will the Nets have a gay celebration for him in the arena like Superfriends did?

Didn't son already have the chance last year? Maybe he was a little shy but he'll get his second chance now tbh.

Tbh, knowing how homophobic NBA athletes probably are, he will make the All-Star team since no one will want to cover him.

Gayson had to keep up his mask last season. All bets are off this season.

I guess they don't feel that Pierce and Garnett can generate enough media attention on their own. I mean that's all this is cause it we know it's not about the game.

I would like to take this opportunity to openly celebrate Jason Collins and his lifestyle. One day this won't be such a big deal.

The NBA knew there'd be a shitstorm if nobody signed him. The owners probably drew straws and the Nets got the short one.

I would like to applaud your courage and bravery in supporting Jason Collins. It's accepting and courageous people like you who will ensure that one day stories like this aren't such a big deal.

How many NBA players are genuinely afraid of homosexuals and gay NBA players?

Jacob you ever considered going gay temporarily just so you can get the whole "grown man who is still a virgin" stigma washed off you?

they ain't afraid of them, what they're really afraid of is being suspected of being gay themselves, or they just repudiate them fags, like, when you find a mass of shit in front of your door you'll walk another way or leap over it rather than step on it

I'm a grown man and I'm also a virgin, but neither I or Jacob considers it a stigma or anything we wanna get rid of. We're proud of it indeed. We ain't real-life winners by any means, not yet, but our dreams are still alive and our lives are more hopeful compared to those other guys who've been married since their early 20s. Most women are dream killers and we're smart enough to know that at a relatively young age, while most young guys aren't.

Why? He's a terrible basketball player. There's really nothing that he brings to the table.

Yeah but the average gay rights dumbass who doesn't follow the NBA doesn't know that. They won't think he isn't signed to a team because he sucks, the'll just cry about how the NBA is homophobic. A team has to sign him or else there will be a media shitstorm.

The Nets are smart. The Gay community will support them just because he's signed to the team. An if he get mins, omg they will sellout every night. Gays support gays. Im sorry but they are good people. I have nuttin against them. I don't think their lifestyle is right but I sin too. So like Paula Deen said. "Who ever is sin free, cast the first stone".

When was the last time you saw an asian person make sure everyone KNOWS and ACCEPTS he is asian? Gay attention whores like Collins are the reason why us getting married is such an ordeal.

Lmmfao, I don't support people being gay. But I dont respect people's choices. If someone is gay an they're openly gay. Its up to you to befriend them or stay away. If they're tryna force their lifestyle on you then I understand you getting offended. I don't have to look when I see 2 guys holding hands or kissing. Therefore they can do whatever they please. But let me tell you this. I cant stand under cover muthasuckas tryna pose like they love women but fucks other men. Thats how Aids has gotten so bad today. My whole thang is if your gay an your a man, stand up an be a man an stand behind what you believe. Just dont bring that shit to my door, my kids an we'll be alright from a distance. In closing Im saying respect others. You dont have to live with the choices they make with their sex partner.

As a Nets fan I will say he isn't all that bad. You got to be a fan of the team he is on the actually think he is good though. So no one here would know. I hated him when he was on the Nets back in the day, but once you was gone you did really miss the little things he did every once in a while

A source said the Nets are not interested in potentially signing free agent center Jason Collins, the first openly gay active player in the four major professional sports in the U.S., and bringing him back to the franchise he began his career with.

I don't think a big deal will be made about it unless Jason Collins makes a big deal about. Even so I would say let them cry and make a fool of themselves over a TOSB who averages 1ppg on 31% shooting. I doubt the NBA would lose fans or money over Jason Collins not being in the NBA.

When he was on the Grizzlies and I never thought that he was good and felt that he was useless on both sides of the ball. He was on the Grizzlies when they had Kwame Brown and Darko Milicic and he was the worst of the 3. The only good thing that came out of that Love-Mayo trade was him going to Minnesota.
