If the Spurs lose Mike Wilks (which seems to be expected) then Barrett is a good candidate for the 3rd point guard. A little on the small end, but a good playmaker. In his rookie season in 2004-05 he had stints with the Rockets and Magic. Didn't do so hot with the Rockets, but had a good 11 game run with Orlando. In his first summerleague game last night he had 10 points on 5 of 9 FG shooting, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 1 steal in 26 minutes. He did have 4 TOs though.

Although I was a 5'9" guard myself and would love to see a little guy get a break, I don't think he's good enough to play on a championship quality team--especially when there are so many bigger players out there who are as good or better. This IS the NBA so a little guy has to be superlative to succeed.

Perhaps, but this is the point guard 'spot' on IR we are talking about.

Looking at the pick, I don't know if I want a player who has two ears growing out of one side of his face. Too freaky.

He seems okay. Mike Wilks might stay, or they might be able to get a older vet on the cheap for the 3rd PG/IR spot though.

I guess he could hear the plays being called during the timeouts pretty good.
