Bargnani's ability to shoot both off the catch and add in a little self created off the dribble stuff will be a huge improvement for the Knicks. That first rounder will be a late pick and who cares about Novak or Camby. Yup. It's not that horrific of a contract (only 11M avg for 2 years so it's short) but the point remains. I think there was some decent interest in Bargs behind the scenes for this to happen. Maybe teams like him as a 3rd offensive option if you can cover up his defense (which Tyson does).

I think they caved way too quickly. If they would have refused to give the first they might not have gotten the deal done immediately, but I think Toronto would have caved eventually. It's still not great to have to pay Bargs that much but not giving the pick makes the deal worlds better.

Mike Miller in the prime of his career was one of the worst defensive players in the NBA. Worst then Melo. Horrible in man, horrible in help, and doesn't contribute in any way on the defensive. Hakim Warrick, just like Mike Miller, is a none contributor on defense as well.
