What do you think of this?

Lakers sure are dumb to give up all those picks for an injury-prone 38 yr old PG

they'll make the playoffs, but will get swept by my Spurs, IMO

Further evidence that Lakers have lost their touch. They not only gave up picks, they let go of Ramon Sessions to acquire Steve Nash, a move that I knew they'd regert. Ramon was playing very solid basketball prior to the playoffs in 2012 (In Mike Brown's system!) and he's averaging 14 ppg at 40% shooting for the bobcats.

Again, Lakers did something stupid and instead of building the team from the bench up they just acquired old super stars. Lakers gambled big, then gambled even bigger with D'antoni and passing on Phil. They deserve this, even if it devastates them for a few years this was an important learning lesson to not fuck around like this ever again.

Tbh They could have gotten Sessions for 5-6 mil a year and he would have at the very least given as much as Nash has so far, for much less money and probably wouldn't miss 30 games a season, tbh. I feel sorry for your team. I'm afraid they'll fuck up again and sign an overrated player for top money next year.

Lakers are fucked for a while, depresses me to say it but its time to erase everything. 2013-14 is gonna be a depressing fuckin year to watch IMO ( I could be wrong though) and the next 2 years are just about getting rid of contracts. Kobe will retire this year after he sees the team is not even 1st round material, he'll come back 20-30 games and pull the injury card.

I think the team needs to fix the front office first with Jeanie and Phil being more involved, a new coach, then lets worry about the players.

Normally, I would agree with you. But luckily for you, Duncan and the Spurs inspired Kobe with their trip to the finals:

"And I think I can easily do that for another three years."

"I think the (Achilles') injury has something to do with that. It really increased the drive. And probably San Antonio (and Tim Duncan) getting so close to winning No. 5, too, probably hurt me a little bit too. I want to make sure I push the ring count out a little further.

"It was really, really close there. They (the Spurs) played phenomenally well. But it's a testament to what skill can do, what us old guys can do if you play together -- if you play with one mind and one purpose, you can accomplish great things. It was inspirational for me and hopefully inspirational for the city of Los Angeles and this organization of what we can do, how this tide can turn fairly quickly and we'll be looking at a parade."

Theres no one in the NBA who cares as much about how hes being perceived than Kobe.

"I want to make sure I push the ring count out a little further."

Well if it doesnt happen you can always give yourself another nickname, a new "face", a new number etc.

Cant wait for next summer when he does his own "decision".

Laker fans have pinned their hopes of recovery on acquiring LeBron or Kyrie in free agency :lol

you can't expect every washed-up superstar to rejuvenate like Duncan did the past season, otherwise them 11-12 mavs would've handily repeated with Brand/Odom/Kidd/Carter all in prime versions

Nash had been going pretty good on the HGH in Phoenix. When he left the nest, he lost his powers.
